OK, that wasn't what I expected.  Not bad.

Freddie Mercury and Joan Jett had a baby:

I know I've linked to The Struts before, but they keep knocking it out of the park!

See if you can spot the Alice Cooper cameo... :D

You know I'm a big fan of Babymetal... I was wondering what would you have once the girls grew up... well, I think you'd get Band-Maid:

I've never listened to Japanese rock before but you've introduced to something good. (plus they're all very cute ...)

... meant to say check out their Jolene cover.  Awesome in it's rawness

Throwback Thursday...

I saw them in concert MANY years ago.

Here's a pic of me wearing a concert t-shirt:

Of course, now that they've gone Country they're dead to me.

Besides Babymetal and Band-Maid, there's also Stereopony.

Those are all Kawaii Metal (Cute Metal).  There's also straight Japanese metal in the form of Loudness:

They tend to mix English lyrics into their Japanese heavy metal songs.

Thanks for that.  My Spotify account has just grown a few albums.

My wife isn't too keen on the Loudness ... I think she's saying, "I bought you those wireless headphones for a reason ..."

But I can't hear her 😂 (One of life's regrets is not exploring rural Japan before the body broke down)

I'm not too much into Rockabilly apart from Relax Trio... and Jane Rose - she's a fantastic talent

True.  I should have said 'modern' Rockabilly ... I'm guilty of having Stray Cats vinyl ... have there been quiffs like that since

My favorite Rockabilly song is not by a Rockabilly group.

Oh, yes it is Rockabilly!

If you enjoy sung poetry, the following song by the German band Faun is based on a poem by Irish poet James Clarence Mangan. You can read the original poem here

I'm not usually a fan of this type of music. But, it randomly came up in my YouTube scroll and I thought the animation was pretty cool.

And, now the damn thing is stuck in my head...
