RapSquatch
I tried using the water effects but it always comes out pixelated not rippled like it should be if anyone has a totourial or other help with this reply or message me.
cjmcguinness
As the 'water' effect applies a blur and makes the selected area kind-of transparent I would recommend that you duplicate the layer you want to apply the water effect to, then apply the effect on the top layer. You can then merge the top layer down or flatten the whole image. Hope this helps.
sagedavis
Rapsquatch, I have had this issue before, on smaller image files, or low res files... Try first upsampling to at least 100 (I would even go to 200) dpi, and then doing the water effect. If your not sure how to upsample, go to "image" > "resize". make sure that "resampling" is set to "best quality" or bicubic, they are the same thing (I think). Make sure that "Maintain aspect ratio" is checked. Then under "Resolution" bump it up to the desired amount.... and click ok. Just an idea Sage Quote When in doubt, Try it out. I made this sig file using http://www.anim8or.com and making all of the textures with http://www.getpaint.net I love freeware.
