Outline Object

Recommended Posts

first make sure you have the most updated version of paint.net

second the most updated version of the plugin.

third are you sure you are using the same outline each time. there are several effects with that name.

are you sure its pyro's outline that's not working or is it Boltbaits? as those kind of problems seem very similar to the bugs that were fixed in BoltBaits plugin. viewtopic.php?f=16&t=22819

I'm sorry guys, I was using BoltBait's outline, not pyro's, I messed up everything very much...

I had newest version of PDN and older version of BB'S outline, I guess that's why it wasn't working...

then I thought that updated I've BB'S outline, instead I've updated pyro's xD

I am sorry for everything... I've downloaded BoltBait's Plugin Pack and replaced everything and it works now!

Thanks for help, regards deejaytu

Hi Pyrochild

I'm currently editing manga (japanese comic) as a hobby.

I was advised to use "Outline Object" to put white borders around my text.

Like this:

21373_6902512e9f03361696efab0c9671fc17

But its ended up like this... ^^;; :

21373_80c6173bd543de6c168424520bc27637

Please Please give me step to step instructions on giving texts white borders and making the layer transparent, so it actually looks like the original one (just translated into english). I've played around with it for hours now and i still cant get it going ^^;;

Create a new layer for your text. Set your primary color to the color you want the text to be (black). Run the Outline Object plugin. Set the color to the color you want the outline to be (white), and adjust Width to preference and Softness settings until it looks good.

Hey Pyrochild,

I was wondering if it was possible if you could add a "Roundness" slider to set how round the edges are on the object, because sometimes it's better to have sharp edges.

Here's what your plugin does.

But sometimes it looks better with nice sharp corners.

Thanks,

The area around the object you want to be outlined must be transparent. In other words, it should be on its own layer.

edit: this is the three-thousand, three-hundred and thirty-third post in the Plugins forum.

3333rd!

Ok, I just have a question... Where do I unzip it?
