God.. I wasn't counting on this as it's the redirection link. It was an endless circle till I find the big DOWNLOAD link at the bottom.

Now I download it all, thanks a ton Djisves!

The plugin uses the MIT license; a free (libre) software license.  So, yes, you may use it in YouTube videos.

(September 25th, 2023)  Sorry about any broken images in my posts. I am aware of the issue.

Hi. When I downloaded this it wasn't a zip file and I couldn't move forward with the install.

Sometimes the forum messes with the filenames. Right click on the File > Rename. Type in any new name and add the extension .zip (dot then "zip").

I've been using this plugin for so long and it's amazing. The only thing that bothers me is this bug:

If im trying to create a outline with a Softness of 209 for example its creating this weird "alpha value jumps"

Its a very minor bug and can be fixed (kinda) with a quick gaussian blur..

That may have to do with softness setting. I'm not sure if this is even a bug at all. How I would fix that is to use lerp(a,b,c) to allow users to set up a transition between soft and hard.

Can't use the outline object plugin (by pyrochild) after the update. The object submenu is just not there anymore. Are there any way to bring back the legacy effects menu?

I tried to install it and it doesn't work.

I closed Paint.net

I got pyrochild.2020-11-21.zip

I opened the zip file and copied all the dll files in the C:\Program Files\paint.net folder

I opened Paint.net

I don't get any extra effects. The Effects menu looks exactly the same as before

I checked opening properties for the file Outline Object.dll - I don't have an "Unlock" button.

You need to install the files to the C:\Program Files\paint.net\Effects folder

This plugin is incompatible with the latest version of Paint.NET and seems to be no longer under development.
Fortunately, there's a (superior!) replacement.

Incorrect.  Pyrochild's Outline Object works just fine in the latest version of Paint.NET.
