2 questions about the selection tools

1. If You make a selection with one of the selection tools You can add to it by holding the Ctrl-key, right?

Is there a way to take away from a selection?

2. I know how to rotate a selection. Is there a way You can just flip it?

1. Hold the Right mouse button

2. Ctrl + X; Ctrl + Shift + V; Layers > Flip Selection.

There was a plugin somewhere, I dunno if it's still working.
