What the <No cursing.> is happening here? Is this a spam bot atack?

Yes, that is exactly what was happening.  I've cleared it out.  Things should be back to normal now.

Must have been a hundred pages of unreadable spam the other day! :roll:

I really don't see what the gain is for the spammers/bot creators?

 

off topic: The BBC website was down yesterday too... are we coming to the end of the computer age? :lol:

Some programmers just want to watch the world burn...

We are reviewing our systems to try and stem the tide. It's a balancing act. Of course we don't want to lock new users out of the forum - just make it difficult for spammers to get on.
