Rick Brewster
Hmm ... that actually makes good sense to do that. Quote The Paint.NET Blog: https://blog.getpaint.net/ Donations are always appreciated! https://www.getpaint.net/donate.html
Philip
Thanks Rick, I'm glad that you agree. While we’re on the topic, I don’t know if this behaviour also is used when acquiring an image from a scanner or camera. I guessing that it probably already does set the resolution of the new image correctly, but I only have a TWAIN compliant scanner so I’ve never been able to try any acquisitions in Paint.NET myself. Perhaps you already know if this is the case or someone else out there can confirm it.
Rick Brewster
I actually implemented most of the code for this for 3.10, however as it turns out the clipboard support in .NET / Windows Forms doesn't retain the resolution data when copying to the clipboard. All my code was there to copy the resolution data to and from all the right places, but I got c**k-blocked by the actual clipboard API's! So, to add this support completely would go past the timeframe I have for 3.10. I'll look into again it for a future release though. It wont' be hard to implement -- it'll just take slightly more time than I have available for this current release. Anyway just thought I'd update you on the status of this. Thanks for taking the time to implement this at all, and thanks for the update.
