Mr SID Files

Has anybody decided to work on a SID file format plug in? It is a commonly used file format in Aerial Photographs. I believe LizardTech is the maker?

Kind of a wish list request...

"Developers can use the component LEADTOOLS version 14 and 15 from LEAD Technologies to display MrSID files in their own applications." ...From the Wiki link mentioned.

I inquire only because there are products using these plug ins already but I like P.N better.

I am not a programmer so this does nothing for me. Maybe this would be helpful in developing further? This is right from LizardTech dev area. http://www.lizardtech.com/developer

I wasn't really targeting anyone. However, your response helps me understand that it would be a significant effort. I had seen a plug in for another program called Irfanview so I assumed that it was not extremely difficult. Sorry if I seem ignorant, just thought I'd inquire.
