i tried it says it's already part of the operating system

so i was really happy like yeah now i can you paint.net again but when i tried to download paint it says "there is a problem with this Windows intaller package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact you support personnel or package vendor" then it says a fatal error during installation.

Yeah, sorry, the .NET Framework is bundled with Vista, so you don't have to install it.

Is Paint.NET still in the 'Add or Remove Programs' list?

(or its Vista's equivalent)

yeah i know i checked that it's there but i when i try to download paint it says a program needed to finish download couldn't be run, so i really don't get that any ideas to what's wrong?

So...do you get the error while you're downloading, or at the end of actually installing it?

Screenshots might be helpful, too.
