jouno53
Hello, in a lot of tutorials I've seen people talk about "setting your curves" or colors to pictures. I'm just wondering how you work with the RGB curves and how you get the color or colors you want out of it. Thanks! Quote Who the Son sets free, is free indeed. jouno53
Ok thanks, I read it. I'm having trouble getting one color though. I'm trying to get green and purple on an image... What I don't understand is that when you put a green point on the graph, the picture doesn't show any sign of becoming more green; it actually turns more purple. What I'm asking is how do you manipulate the graph to make different colors? Quote Who the Son sets free, is free indeed.
Ash
Try something like this. Just play around with all the setting and see what happens. Quote All creations Ash + Paint.NET [ Googlepage | deviantArt | Club PDN | PDN Fan ]

jouno53
Ok, I tried something like that, but when I set the purple, it gave me green. Here's the pic: Is there any way I can make the white area purple, or add some purple into it...?[/img] Quote Who the Son sets free, is free indeed. The_Lionhearted
A curve to the left of the diagonal makes that color lighter...a curve to the right makes that color darker. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't RGB just Luminosity split up into colors? Oh, and CMD...that would rock. I'm sure even the "experts" can learn something by elaborating on the basics. jouno53
Thank you everyone! I fully appreciate your help, as I am new to Paint.net. I finally got what I wanted too! P.S. I think it's a great idea to create a tutorial on Curves... Quote Who the Son sets free, is free indeed.
Tanel
P.S. I think it's a great idea to create a tutorial on Curves... Curves is universal tool, not PdN specific. Simply google for RGB+curves+tutorial and here you go - 1st match, perfect tutorial: http://www.cambridgeincolour.com/tutorials/photoshop-curves.htm Same goes for Levels tool.
