pema
I'm using images in Pagemaker. read tut for making transparent backgrounds worked fine as long as I stayed in paint.net, but importing image - as tiff - into PM7 gave me that *darn* white square. What can I do? need plugin? Am eventually publishing as PDF. don't have photoshop which I can get PM plugin for. Tried importing to coreldraw, same result. Am new to paint.net, please have patience, altho I ran out of time searching your forums for solutions...hours & hours....is this a hopeless task? Ash
Try using magic wand and select all the transparent area and hit delete button once again then save the file. then try and see if that will work. Good luck Quote All creations Ash + Paint.NET [ Googlepage | deviantArt | Club PDN | PDN Fan ]
Bob
Just save in PNG instead of TIFF. Quote No. Way. I've just seen Bob. And... *poof!*—just like that—he disappears into the mist again. ~Helio
pema
thanks guys... wand and delete does work well but saved file still imports to PM with white background - tried many formats incl png all with same result. guess PM just doesn't support transparent bg. have moved on to placing all trans bg photo layers on solid color in paint.net & saving as 1 image. then overlay text in PM. takes much planning & work like in the old days. yup. hoped there wld be a simpler way so I could move each background-less image around on page in PM....learning a lot anyway while searching this excellent forum.
