Will Paint.NET open .abr's?

Paint.NET does not support custom brushes at this time.

As for the grunge look, I'm really not all too good at it, so I'll let someone who knows what they're doing answer. :)

I do apologise. I don't think there is anything more 'grungy' than that though, maybe if you have a play around with the steps you may find something you like. Increasing or decreasing some values, or using a different effect might help but I'm not too sure which is why experimenting is the best answer I can give.

I don't like pointing people away from PDN on the PDN forum, but I feel you should know, SSC, that if you need those brushes now, The GIMP will load ABRs.
