Pixey
Yes, the first one looks wonderful. Will we be getting a tute soon please 😁 Quote How I made Jennifer & Halle in Paint.net My Gallery | My Deviant Art "Rescuing one animal may not change the world, but for that animal their world is changed forever!" anon. lynxster4
Thank you @Pixey and @Tactilis for your comments. I should have been more specific in my post. I was looking for feedback on the 'texture' of each piece. But I do appreciate the feedback on the coloring. Thank you @ReMake for the rep! 18 hours ago, Pixey said: Will we be getting a tute soon please I'll have to think about this. It took me a couple of years to get this right. It's complicated. It's not that I don't want to share this technique; it will be challenging to write up. For me, it's the same conclusion; the first is preferable by a long way. IMO, the second has too much texture and, coupled with the lighting, it looks less realistic.

I was choosing the 'texture' when I chose the first one - that texture looks more authentic than the second one I totally understand about not doing a tute. When I create things I go through so many machinations that I can never remember every step - which can be so frustrating sometimes. 1 Quote How I made Jennifer & Halle in Paint.net My Gallery | My Deviant Art "Rescuing one animal may not change the world, but for that animal their world is changed forever!" anon. Maximilian
If we were strictly speaking of background and border, I'd prefer the second piece. Sometimes backgrounds and borders catch my focus more than main objects
lynxster4
Some wine-related stained glass images. I have mentioned that I always make a shape first, then fill in the 'pieces'. The second image proved difficult, so I hand-drew with the mouse all the lead lines. Not too bad I think; it looks a bit more 'home-made'. Thanks for looking! 😊 5 Quote My Art Gallery | My Shape Packs | ShapeMaker Mini Tut | Air Bubble Stained Glass Chrome Text with Reflections | Porcelain Text w/ Variegated Coloring | Realistic Knit PatternOpalescent Stained Glass | Frosted Snowman Cookie | Leather Texture | Plastic Text | Silk Embroidery Visit my Personal Website "Never, ever lose your sense of humor - you'll live longer"
