Simon Brown
It's not even smart enough to find the total height of all the images in the sig. You could have 5 500x150 pics in there, and it'd be none the wiser.Lame. I also wander how it took several years with several people to make this software. pyrochild
I should learn PHP and write my own bloody forum software. I've yet to see any forum software whose standard I could call "good." Simon Brown
The worst software used for forums is clearly IMHO mediawiki.

Although if you havn't got the time to go the full way you could write some mods to add the features you view as essential.
Yata
phpBB3 is great. Most issues are caused by things outside of the software. I'm sorry, but I highly doubt you could trump phpBB, or any "official" forum software, simply because they have numerous staff members who are dedicated and trained to advance the software. Sort of like Paint.NET staff vs. PS staff. One is just more than the other. Simon Brown
phpBB3 is great. Most issues are caused by things outside of the software. I agree phpBB3 is great (although phpBB2 is terrible IMHO) but it just seems that you could add more features in that time with that number of people helping. Yata
If that is the case then why are they working on a new version? Um. Every time Rick makes a new version of pdn, it dosen't mean it's all cowbell. Theres a difference between making software advances and making cowbell features. Simon Brown
Theres a difference between making software advances and making cowbell features. So why didn't they use their time to make software advances. And IMHO its OK creating software with too many features providing you don't clutter up the interface.
