Why does America's gas prices get to be lower than Canada's? We're the ones with the oil sands...

We have the refineries.

EDIT: And no, we're NOT going to have an American political debate in this thread. I'm not going to allow it to happen.

The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.
Amy: But how did it end up in there?
The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.
River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

Just to be clear -- I posted this before you replied, Kreeos, so it's not a reaction to what you have to say. :-)

I ride the bus most of the time nowadays. :-)

RANT: The Three Word Game was so nicely dead and almost buried! For almost a month! WHY did its idiocy have to afflict us again?!

Sanity cries every time someone posts in that thread. :-(

I'm sorry...

This isn't a political debate. This is a me being ticked off for paying $70 to fill my SMALL gas tank (my vehicle has two tanks totaling approximatelly 130L).

What did I just say? My comment had nothing to do with you. :-) I could just feel it coming (my spidey sense was tingling). I wanted to head it off at the pass.

I know you've all been waiting for this latest update!

Six Things That Suck

6. IE6. Gah. I'm too lazy to check back and see, but I think it's earned its first trifecta (presence on three TTS lists). Have I done 3? Can't remember.

5. Work. I worked for 10.5 hours today, and 9 of them were spent on the same task (three hours of loading scaffolding! GAH!)

4. Spring break. (Ironic, no?) Work all week, and all my friends are gone at home. Why do we have to go on spring break?

3. Indiana weather. There's a 30-degree high temperature oscillation every couple of days; the high on Saturday was 25. Today it was 55. Can we just skip to spring already, and stop taunting us?

2. The Three Word Game. Three words: Exterminate. Annihilate. Destroy.

1. Forumer.com, in its debut on this list! Finally unseating 3WG for the top spot. A multi-hour downtime yesterday, followed by dying SQL again today? *claws*

So. That's the latest update of my list. Comments?

I really wish Rick would create a new forum on the getpaint.net server. I am sure if we sign a petition and constantly email forumer.com they will hand us the database :D

I hate outages too, but I'd rather have him work on Paint.NET. Wouldn't you?

How long does it take to install phpBB3? My record time is five minutes!*

I would much rather him work on Paint.NET

I'm sure they won't. They get their money from the ad revenue on the pages; allowing us to pick up and leave would mean losing every dime, and not recovering any of it. They have no way of making it hard for us to do so, but they sure as heck don't have to make it easy on us. :-) They're running a business, not a charity. It makes sense.

Do wish they had better uptime, though...

BB:

PdN is supported by the forum community. All-in-all, it would take 5-10 minutes to install the software and ~1 hour to configure the settings. Wouldn't a more stable (and more modular) forum to support the program be better than a free host who isn't exactly reliable?

Ah ha! I found a good arguement: Is it not true that the forum is the central platform of user feedback for Rick? Even your 'fighting club' is hosted on this forum and it is a pivetal tool for Rick to aid in testing, design, and functionality. By creating a more stable platform of user feedback-a forum on the getpaint.net server-he would also benefit, leading to a better Paint.NET.
