david.atwell
And I've never had any problems with it. I've never had compromized security. No one has ever gotten my credit card numbers nor so much as a phone number. That you know of. But whatever, use the crippled software if that's what you want. Don't say we didn't warn you. Generally you know when somebody has your credit card number. Put yourself in their shoes. If you're a criminal and have someone's credit card number you're not just gonna go "Oh, that's interesting." Chances are you'd start making charges on it. Thus far I've never had any fraudulant charges on my card. No, they usually try to get more information from you so they can steal your identity and ruin you completely. oma
one thing that truly bugs me! when people refer to other New Paint.Net users or New computor users as Noobs. sounds like old fashioned grade school name calling. really not nice . even worse when someone calls themselves a noob. I think anyone approaching something new should be given more respect, and I think someone approaching something new should give themselves more respect. Kreeos
What Kreeos has been saying. Why don't you just try firefox - if you don't like it you can always switch back. I have tried firefox before. My parents had it on their old computer. Ran not bad but I didn't like the feel of it. I dunno, just the way the look goes together and stuff :? david.atwell
The first time you start Firefox, it asks if you'd like to migrate all your settings and bookmarks from IE. :-) Glad to see you're going to give it a shot! I think you'll like it. EDIT: The link sabrown posted is to a Vista-like IE7 skin. You'll probably find this one a bit more familiar: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/4327 Quote The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... david.atwell
Once you're running Firefox, click that link. It should install on its own. Simon Brown
I wish Microsoft would just agree to include Firefox with Windows. I have a thought about the GPL license issues but I'm not going to say as I always seem to be wrong on topics like that.
david.atwell
Heavens no! The competition is what makes both of them better. I want to see IE stick around; it makes Firefox better. pyrochild
Pass. My opinion is if it isn't broke don't fix it. IE6 works just fine for me and I plan to use it for as long as I can. Every time I upgrade something of Microsoft's all they do is screw it up worse. Hmm, and what got us on the topic of browsers in the first place? You... ranting about.... links... not working right.... And that is not "broke"? You must be a masochist. And IE7 is significantly less crappy than IE6. But still crappy. Glad to hear you've been persuaded to give Firefox a shot. Or was it Opera? 6 pages of off-topic is a lot to catch up with.... Opera, Firefox, either way, good call. Rant: 6 pages of rants?! Really?!? Quote ambigram signature by Kemaru [i write plugins and stuff] If you like a post, upvote it!
