The kid has got great reflexes! If you had been a real threat, he would have been doing the best thing possible! Sending a message, "Don't mess with me or you'll regret it!"

I bet you did regret it too lol!

... and there was me wondering whether he's big enough to hold his own playing football ( round ball) against men @ the age of 16

And yep, Ninja' ... I'm regretting it.

As Barbie' says - physically and in the bank balance

@ SAND33P ... a machete ? Wow :P

When you say "men" do you mean just adult guys playing futball or do you mean like professionals?

If the former, then I'm sure he'd do great. I've played with adults quite often.

If the latter, well then I would question that as well. Ouch!

Uh-oh! I guess I'll have to do a diagnosis *sigh*

Did you have anything before this? (sore throat, etc.)

Or contact a substance with mouth ears nose, (a filthy something)?

I had a flu of sorts, I had a cough, runny nose, slight fever et cetera about 2 weeks ago. Then I got better, but got sick again on Friday last week. My throat got sore and I had headache for like 4 days, and a few days this problem started... I think my immune system is weakened because I don't get enough calories (between 1000-200 kcal a day) and sleep ( <7h)...

@EER: I was hoping it would hurt nowhere : D

Oh and thanks Barbie, I think I'll be fine in a couple of days. :)

the worst part about this is that I can't really exercise at all.

Rant: I finished Lost and now I don't have more to watch.

@ Kemaru

Yes, that's what I thought. Because of your eustachian tubes that go from your ears to your throat, (the reason your ears pop) the infection went from your throat to your ear. It is quite common and should be done running its course within a few days.

OK, in IE9, which idiot put the back button on the top LEFT and the favorites button on the top RIGHT?!

Did no one use this before release?

Another rant:

Microsoft Security Essentials is getting as chatty as Norton's Anti-Virus.

...and, I can't figure out how to turn off the notifications.

Where's the "Just do your job and be quiet about it" button?

No. But I just got 2 messages in a row--one that it caught something* and one that it had just completed a scan of my system.

Since I did not knowingly kick off a scan, do I really need to know that it finished?

*The "catch" was totally bogus. It flagged the Java player over at the Scratch web site.

Accidentally lost three years worth of .pdf files... Well I wasn't really using them, and I do have the flattened jpg/png's on Photobucket, but it's still a bummer not being able to pull the images apart if I need to.

I have feelings towards my best friend and I know nothing will ever happen between him and me...

*sigh* this again... :( The situation has become irritatingly complicated. I was hoping that the less time we spent together the less I would be attracted to him, but alas, my attraction to him has only grown. I might be seeing something that isn't there, or perhaps it is indeed there. Is he, or is he not g.a.y? You, please don't be so confusing.

Sorry for the personal rant, it's just that I really don't have a friend to whom I could talk about this particular issue.

@ JackPelter ... I would definitely seek help on the liking kippers issue :P

@ Kemaru ... that must be an extremely difficult situation for you.

Absence can make the heart grow fonder my friend.

The only words of wisdom I can offer is ... be true to yourself and maybe ask him if the attraction is mutual. Only you know how he may react to this.

I hope it all works out for you either way.

Well, you have to ask yourself; are you looking for the problem to just go away, or are you looking for a conclusive answer? If the former, then just walk away from him - now. Seriously; don't look at him, don't talk to him, don't be in the room with him; it's difficult, yes, but the best way. Alternatively, if you answered the latter, then just do something; it's not as bad as it sounds. I have experience with both techniques, and they're both fairly effective - of course, I'm not g**, and the morons we have in society nowadays mean that it may be much harder for you because of this, but you really should be decisive. :)

EDIT: The forums censors that? Huh. Well, always better to be safe than sorry, I suppose; as I said, you can't trust the morons in society.

Well, I just went and told him I was g**. He had a hunch. I told him I'd changed my "interested in" in Facebook about a week ago. :)

I won't bring up the other issue with him yet (if ever).

E: yup, it censors it. of course there are ways to work around it, like I did in the previous post, but why bother.

E2: What I'm looking for is more or less the latter.

Up until now I've had the opportunity to just "slip" the fact that I'm g**, but this was the first time that I really had to ask someone to discuss the matter with me. I'm relieved that it went as well if not better than I expected.

Memaru, it is a tough one but I have to disagree with Rubrica about it being harder in today's society. A daughter & 2 nephews that are g.a.y. so I understand.

Interestingly it was my daughter who was in a very similar situation as you. She chose to tell her friend how she felt. The girl did not share the same feeling but they have stayed friends now for many years. There is hope.

Kippers?! Ewwww...I think if we are craving a food we are either mad or lacking something the food craving provides.

My rant: Can some please turn off the wind or at least turn it down. I am over it.
