You seen those ergonomic chairs? The ones that you virtually kneel on but maintain an upright body position? They are supposed to be excellent for backs.

Sitting absolutely straight (~ 90°) is actually worse for backs than sitting leaned back.

I went to the dentist today...Was scheduled for 2 crowns and a root canal...Ended up with 3 crowns and an extraction...I've never screamed in the dentist office(to my knowledge) but this one had me screaming...he even numbed it more and poked at the gum and it was fine...but owww...it hurt :(

So yeah...parents, and future parents...make sure your kids brush and stuff. And if they are under 10 or so and have bad ear infections...Try to get the doc to put in tubes instead of prescribing a million round of antibiotics. Antibiotics are really hard in forming teeth and as such, I have next to no enamel on my teeth...so even if I was the world's best brusher and flosser...I'd still get cavities.

Add that into the fact that I hate going to the dentist...I suppose it's a phobia of mine...lol...But that's the doctor I have to visit most often...

Rant: iTunes

All I want to do is transfer an audio book to my wife's iPhone.

Unfortunatly, audible files can't be downloaded directly to the phone, you must use iTunes in order for them to work. That's where the trouble starts.

You see, my wife has purchased lots of music for her iPhone directly from the iTunes app on the phone itself. That's all fine and good, however, in order for iTunes to transfer an audio book to the iPhone it must sync with a computer to do it. So, I set up iTunes on her computer and tried to sync the iPhone. That's when iTunes tells me that in order to sync with the iPhone it must delete all the existing music and movies on the iPhone! Even though the files are legally purchased directly on the iPhone, the iTunes app wants to delete them!

So, now my wife can't listen to the audio book she purchased... just because of stupid limitations of iTunes. This limitation does not need to be included in iTunes. This is an artificial limitation imposed by the idiots at Apple.

I've looked for some other program that can download to an iPhone and apparently there isn't one yet. There are several for the iPod, but I guess the iPhone is different. :(

Apple Sucks!

Why did I spend money on another of their products?! Well, NEVER AGAIN!

Note to Apple: You've already made your money from me since I bought this POS. Now, let me use it the way I like!

You can use foobar2000 with the foo_dop plugin to send music and audiobooks to an iPod or iPhone. It'll probably show up under Music rather than Audiobooks though.

My iPod touch's battery life has been diminishing noticeably over the past couple weeks. It'll die soon, and I won't be getting another. So sick of Apple.

I'll probably pick up a 32GB SD card and a spare battery for my phone. Because, you know, some companies actually allow people to change their own batteries :)

I like Apple's environmentally-friendly materials, and their design. Sure, Apple's prices are at times ridiculous (particularly in Europe. A 15" MBP 1,999€ in EU, 1,999$ in the US?) but I think that they are worth the extra money, considering the quality of their materials, software, parts and their high performance.

EDIT: Boltbait: I'm not at all sure, but I think that iTunes should recognise purchases made from your wife's iPhone if you've made them with the same iTunes account. But I agree with you, I think the limits are just stupid.

RANT: School is sucking all my free time.

Thermodynamics I, taken last semester, required the textbook Thermodynamics: An Engineering Approach, 6th ed.

Thermodynamics II, taken this semester, requires the textbook Thermodynamics: An Engineering Approach, 7th ed.

I'm really hating my school right now, almost as much as I despise McGraw-Hill.

Ya' know...the only thing that usually gets changed in edition changes is that they might move a picture around or change some wording...not usually anything major...

My History of Psych teacher actually told us this...right before he said that he REQUIRED the newest edition of the book for his class...

For engineering, math, or science classes homework is often assigned from the problems in the book. 100% of these problems are completely changed in every edition.

I just dropped $215 on a book I already had.

Thank you, McGraw-Hill for extorting money from college students.

Thank you, universities, for being mindless slaves to the whims of textbook publishers.

Thank you, Ms. Miller, for assigning homework on the very first day of class so that I don't even have time to get a better price from Amazon.

You've got an evil, asistic teacher.

I agree with what you've said.

I've had some teachers allow us to use the previous version but then the references & pages numbers don't match up & you have to try to figure it out. So you might as well get the new text book.

It really is disturbing that the new version do not contain any new knowledge or insight. The price we pay for text books you'd expect them to be error free.

One of my wonderful professors was horrified to find that there were at least 20 serious errors that I picked up in the text book she wrote. It wasn't McGraw-Hill either.

I was able to download the audio book directly to the phone by using WiFi mode.

Problem solved. However, I still refuse to spend another cent on that company.

Time to sell the old one on Half.com ... something I've done MANY times.

I started...about 2 weeks ago...I <3 it

I'm taking Pharmacology, Computer Science Apps, Human Growth and Development, A&P I, and it's lab.

That's not even a full load here as it's only 13hrs...

Rant: A&P is hardddd =(

And I have a huge nursing exam at the end of this semester. I have to score high enough on it to get into my school's stringent nursing program...bleh
