The vuvuzelas start again.. Germany is playing in around 2 hours, so I don't expect them to stop in the near time.

Also, I just blew my nose very hard and then realised that it wasn't snot what I looked at there but blood. Ewww..

WTF? Offside by a mile!!!!

Somebody give me one good reason that even the simplest "technology" - instant replays - can't be used. It's a fact that TV has evolved since the good ol' 1960's and that, like every other sport, football (soccer) should use replays! Enough with "keeping the beautiful game beautiful"! Sepp Blatter should be fired and a more modern, open-minded person should replace him. In the meantime, stupid calls like these changed outcomes and history.

Therefore, what should have been a dreadful 4-2 defeat for a pathetic England side, is instead an equally dreadful 4-1 defeat for an equally pathetic England side?

It doesn't exactly change that much; at least in this case, but otherwise, I agree with the idea that if everyone and their dog can prove the ref to have been wrong, that maybe they should correct the decision, at least.

On the contrary. A 2-1 game with momentum for the Germany because, well, because they are leading and because a clear goal got disallowed, results in Germany playing arrogantly and confidently, looking for more opportunities to score. A 2-2 game with England scoring 2 in a row results in a much more conservative style from Germany, and a much more confident style from England, which might have led to a different result. In any case, if every other professional sport (basketball, baseball, even SWIMMING!) uses this simple technology, why can't the world's most popular sport use it?

So, basically, it's the ref's fault that England lost?

Ignoring how 2-1 or 2-2 would affect either side (in the end, I don't think anyone has an idea on how it affected the players bar from themselves), it is not a good reason to suggest as to why we lost; Rooney has been dreadful through the tournament, and that the defense was absouletely dreadful allowing for goals rarely saw in a Sunday league match - and this was before England had a chance to come back (I refer to the goal where the German keeper goal kicked the ball into box, where a striker tapped it in)

In the end, our players are to blame - we done dreadful against everyone bar from Algeria, and even then we only had a decent 20/30 mins in that match. Yet I'm expectant in the papers tommorrow we'll be calling for the ref's head, rather than criisizing the players.

(Not meaning this to be directed at you, it's just more of a general thing I am annoyed with regards to the World Cup for England)

I agree, Rooney disappointed me. I am not English - I'm American. Thoroughly disappointed by lack of character and offense in the USA's team. England have no chemistry and compostion, they work absolutely HORRIBLE together. It isn't Capello's fault at all. However, France and Domenech is a different story.

Oww. That must have hurt, sympathy to you.

The vuvuzelas at the World Cup. I can't watch it without those things making it seem like I'm being attacked by bees! And my neighbor's barry sax at 4 am, can't figure out which is worse. >P

@Pyrochild: At least with a piano you are limited to a chromatic scale. The worst thing about atonal music for unfretted instruments is that the composer gleefully uses quarter, half and three quarter sharps and flats. The dischord!! =O

Rant: I've been sneezing the whole morning, and I just can't stop... ugh.

I usually go through a week of that at the start of spring, then my allergies settle.

My rant: People need to stop parking in front of my driveway. Next time, I'm gonna ram their car into the nearest semi-busy road. Or tip it over.

I usually go through 2 weeks of allergies before it turns into a hacking/wheezing cough at the end. My warning sign: raw, irritating throat, and it progress to stuffy and runny nose, and finally the whole allergy with the whole 9 yard.

As for people parking in your driveway, rent a diesel forklift, and they'll be amazed at how far they have to walk to their car. :D

Annoyances of other people - is that a polite way of saying the feral brats that some people breed?!

Went to a government department today & there were kids running & screaming like it was a park, in between desks & other customers. We shoot feral animals, don't we?

Pyro, maybe you LOOK suspicious

Welshy - I like that idea. We have a good neighbourhood here. No screaming kids either - just a few yappy little dogs. We keep ours locked inside our yard - don't want my girls choking :D
