jerkfight
Rant: Well today I went to the zoo with the summer day camp I'm volunteering at. It was the most stressful day so far. In the morning it started well. The first thing we did was go and "pet" sting rays and sharks. We were in line for almost a full hour. After that we went outside to some benches to eat a "snack". Unfortunately it started to pour. Now with 34 kids its hard to get them all ready to go so that we can try not to get soaked, but of course I did. Whats worse is, that one of the kids forgot their bag outside. So we had to go outside and get it while it was still pouring outside. After it stopped raining it became really humid. While we were going to the exhibits that were there some of the kids wandered off, or got left behind for not paying attention. If they were little kids like 7 and under I would understand, but it were 10 -12 year olds. The smell of the zoo didn't help either. After we went to lunch, and i finally had some energy in me after. Unfortunately it was a sugar rush, so within an hour i just felt wiped out. After a few more exhibits we went to a mini water park at the zoo. So some went, and the people with out bathing suits went to the kid zoo. I was supervising the water park w/out going in the park, cause I didn't have a change of clothes or anything. Of course when it was time to go i had to get them, and some random kids sprayed me with water sprayers, and I got soaked, luckily i got it to dry fast. Some of the kids even forgot a change of clothes so they had to go in the van/bus/car wet. Which was annoying to the drivers. Honestly today was a brutal day =( Fake Edit: I type to much. That game doesn't take that long to download does it? Some games do! I had the same thing happen to me, on my Xbox 360. What happened was I was downloading the full game of GTA: SA overnight but when I got up in the morning, the download had been cancelled manually. My brother says it wasn't him, but I'm not so sure. Rant: Have you ever had a friend who was too... clingy? Well, I do, he spent far too much time at my house today, he just gets annoying easily. usedHONDA
SEMI-RANT: Well, someone was selling a computer for $70, so I looked up the stats on it, discovered that it has a faster processor than mine, so I buy it. The guy left his installation of Windows on it (as soon as I started it up, Windows Messenger loaded up and logged into his account...), but my immediate thought was to have fun and experiment with another OS. I download Ubuntu and install it via Wubi (a great little app for installing without making a new partition). It boots right up, and I'm pretty happy. I download a few apps for it, play with settings, to later discover that there was something missing-- Windows things. So I install XP as a VPC and integrate it seamlessly. Pure awesomeness. That is, until I realize that once the RAM is eaten up, I'm screwed. Can't load more than 10 Firefox tabs in Ubuntu, can't load Photoshop in XP. So I decide to scrap my progress and attempt to simply put a fresh install of XP in the computer. A week of hard work later, I've made zero progress. I have no working CD drives, can't boot from flash drives, UNetbootin only does Hard Drive booting for Linux LiveCDs, and even that doesn't work on my computer, and when I attempt to boot from an SD card, it spews out random errors. So far, the only thing I got out of this computer is half a gig of RAM, a slow 30GB hard drive, and the realization that the system isn't faster despite the higher processor output (Intel ~3GHz). Oh, by the way, XP is faster than Ubuntu, especially at day-to-day tasks like running multiple tabs in Firefox (and when I say XP, I mean the virtual PC I was running inside Linux). Of course, on the other hand, I did mine in 3. *No, I'm not kidding. I went year round and more than full load. pyrochild
Thankfully, my AP scores got me credit for a couple math and english requirements, and no less than 4 physics classes.
