Rant1:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/tennis/8085394.stm

Looks like Federer is going to win Wimbledon again.. unless Andy Murray has got something up his sleeve to stop Roger..

Rant2:

Formula 1 has gone into utter chaos over the stupid price cap idea.. Mark Webber summed up Max Mosely's idea quite well and i agree with him:

It's got to a point where £80m is paid for one footballer but you're asked to run a whole F1 team and travel the world for £40m

~ Mark Webber

btw, if you don't know who the footballer Mark Webber is referring to its Cristiano Ronaldo.

Merry Christmas

my ps3 is starting to act like sony built it.

doesnt. freakin. work. ARGH!

it goes green, then yellow, then red, and will not turn on. and, to make things worse, theres a game in there i cant eject.

argh!

You should get the Win7 theme for XP. Then get the rest of Win7. Then uninstall XP. Then it'll really look nice. ~ David Atwell

Hmmm...shouldn't a PS3 act like Sony built it; after all, they did make it.

While following steps to stop getting a simple error: (-42) when plugging in my ipod, (means it cannot like authorize it) I somehow bricked my ipod and it keeps resetting. No1 has found a fix and it has happened to other people. It failed while trying to reset it to factory conditions. I hate iTunes+iPod+PC.

(It was one of the semi new 80Gb Classics....

Yeah, everything that could go wrong with a Microsoft-made thing went wrong.

I could have bought an iPod, where all I do is plug it in and sync, but nooo, I bought a Zune. I plug it into my computer, oh joy, it's charging. Once it charges up, I try downloading the Zune software for it via official website. Download slowed down at exponential increments until it kept a steady pace of 15-20kbps. By the way, this is a 300mb download. The first download was corrupted, so I downloaded it again. I try installing it to discover that it uses the Microsoft Installer system (msi files), which is a system that doesn't work on my administrative account, so I have to use a secondary account to work properly. So I switch users and try to install it over there, but the installations continues to spew out random errors. [all this took ~6 hours if you include the download time]

So I then decide to use a hacked-up portable version of the Zune software. Download it, extract it, and it works! However, now I need to make XP recognize that what I'm plugging in is in fact a Zune. 2 hours and countless Googles later, I find a direct download for the Zune drivers. I download, extract, and they're there! I try to get windows to direct its attention there, but to no avail. That's where I am now.

It should have just been a 5 minute thing where I plug a Zune in and sync, but it's been over 7 hours of pointless work. Oh, how I miss my iPod touch... best device I've ever used, hands down.
