Rants *enter at own risk*

Recommended Posts

Just when you think it couldn't get worse, an innocent man gets drops a £10 note on the ground accidentally. A police officer is behind him and he alerts this person that he had dropped some money. This officer then decides to give a £50 on the spot fine for "littering."

What!?

No wonder why this country is going downhill.

My rant: the people in the comments at the bottom of this.

Whatever Almighty! The woman's dead. Whether it's part of some deity's great and ineffable plan or just a tragic accident, she's died in a horribly ironic circumstance and it's disgusting that people are using this as a platform to posture and spout whatever they have been taught, be it atheist or theist.

Mind you, this dude is For The Win.

God, Allah and a host of other deities just told me to tell you all to knock it off and stop blaming them. They're only interested in YOUR SOULS and could care less about all of the things that have or will happen to your physical bodies. They weren't designed to last forever you know!

The Taxidermist, Get Stuffed, Canada

Now that is an enlightened comment from a religious person on the subject of life and death.

For a *facedesk* moment, look at what a woman called Laura said, and another androgynous person called Lin. I don't mean to be rude, but you'd think that people who've grown up with a tradition, any tradition but in this case, Christianity, might know just something about it. Or maybe it's the other way around: tradition leads to stagnation and denial of reason.

Oh yeah. User comments are the worst. Whoever came up with the idea to post up a professional news story, then allow just anyone to put up a comment on it, must have been crazy.

The thing is, 90% of the time, 90% of people who post in a comments section are fools, and 90% of the remaining non-stupid 10% are smart enough to stay out of the comments section altogether. ;)

I know, I read the BBC Have Your Say pages for fun. Those guys can turn any discussion into a pean for their love of fascism, and wax lyrical on how anything other than a government that is devoted to the death penalty for anyone whose family has not been a citizen the country since the Ice Age is Communist. It's scarily hilarious.
