You know, I always passed off the things people like Jack Thompson said about video games as idiocy, but maybe there's something to them...honestly, that's one of the most heartless things I've ever seen. It almost sounds like a joke, but it would be the worst joke I've ever encountered.

RANT: VBA has to take everything literally.

Because of it ability to not understand that, for example, if x = 2 and y = 1, then z = 3, if I said Else, it would then only understand if it was x WASN'T 2 AND y WASN'T 1, not if one was right or one was wrong.

The worse thing is, it can't be bothered to throw an exception either, it just stands their, leaving me for a week trying to figure it out.

Sub changetoResults()
'
' changetoResults Macro
' Macro recorded 03/11/2008 by ADavison.07PTE
'
' Makes sure that the user has not missed out any details out of the questionaire

   If Sheets("Results").Select Then

       If Range("Danceometer!C5").Value <> 1 And Range("Danceometer!C9").Value <> 1 And Range("Danceometer!C10").Value <> 1 And Range("Danceometer!C13").Value <> 1 And Range("Danceometer!C14").Value <> 1 And Range("Danceometer!C15").Value <> 1 And Range("Danceometer!F9").Value <> 1 And Range("Danceometer!F10").Value <> 1 And Range("Danceometer!F13").Value <> 1 And Range("Danceometer!F14").Value <> 1 Then

           Sheets("Results").Select

       End If

   End If

   If Sheets("Results").Select Then

       If Range("Danceometer!C5").Value = 1 Or Range("Danceometer!C9").Value = 1 Or Range("Danceometer!C10").Value = 1 Or Range("Danceometer!C13").Value = 1 Or Range("Danceometer!C14").Value = 1 And Range("Danceometer!C15").Value <> 1 Or Range("Danceometer!F9").Value = 1 Or Range("Danceometer!F10").Value = 1 Or Range("Danceometer!F13").Value = 1 Or Range("Danceometer!F14").Value = 1 Then

           Sheets("Danceometer").Select

MsgBox ("Please answer all of the questions before viewing your results")

       End If

   End If

' Makes sure that if the user has decided to support a second charity, that the second charity has been chosen

   If Sheets("Results").Select Then

       If Range("Danceometer!F14").Value = 2 And Range("Danceometer!F15").Value = 1 Then

           Sheets("Danceometer").Select

MsgBox ("Please choose a second charity to support")

       End If

   End If

End Sub

Oh well, managed to get it figured out already, but:

1. Short, neat code is good

2. Reptitive long code is annoying to both repair and to type out.

............. Elementary School at ........ was also in lockdown after a woman came to the school and told officials at the school that her husband shot the manager at Kmart.

She is the epitome of complete idiocy.

Like what if her husband came to our school, we would've had a Columbine-esque situation.

School is over, and I have to walk home a mile and a half home.

And I have to walk through North Philly, right around where the criminal lives.

I'm scared.

Now that sucks. I imagine that would be walking through downtown Richmond.

Charge for that kind of thing. Or at least make them buy a pizza while you work on their computer.

Rant: I think my husband is cheating on me. I found a condom in his wallet. He says it was from when we were separated... LIE.... I've been in his wallet before and it wasn't there. Why would a married man need a condom in his wallet (especially when we don't use them????)

I'm crushed and very depressed.

someone please help me before i do something dumb.

@tHs - That's really not the most helpful thing you could do...the Bible is a big book, and the things that would be relevant to her situation...well, they're often tough to find, even for myself.

My recommendation, NathansMommy, is to talk to someone you trust a lot about this. Preferably someone who knows you both, but if you're not comfortable with that, you might try finding a clergyman or woman to discuss. Your marriage is in trouble, and he doesn't seem to be interested in doing what it takes to fix it. But the two of you could pull this out, I'm sure- and someone who is professionally trained in things like this would be perfect to help you in this. We aren't trained in this (at least I'm not) and our advice could be more apt to cause more harm than good. Plus, since we're complete strangers (and unable to see the look on your eyes, hear the pain in your ears, etc) we can't get the whole picture.

Please, find someone who can help you more competently than us. I don't know you very well, but I do care enough about you to want you to be able to pull this marriage out. And the best way to do that is to get yourself a great, gifted counselor.

Like I said, a clergy would be the best. :-) But anyone you trust to help you in this matter; someone whose shoulder you can literally cry on.

The devotionals on that site are to help you cheer up and think positive.

Spent a lot of time trying to get Grand Theft Auto IV to work. Fixed the bug with black, flickering textures and the issue with missing textures .. although I still crash at about 30 seconds after playing.

Just when I was on the edge of snapping my neck, I decided to Google a bit and found out that it wasn't my fault. Darn, Rockstar*; why release a game so unstable?

The game isn't necessarily "unstable" IMO - it's just power hungry game, sometimes I wonder would it even work on my PC? I'm the bare minimum with 1 GB of RAM. Damn you Rockstar for creating such a high pc spec game.

Meanwhile, I have heard about how Rockstar intend to defeat pirates with their new anti-piracy measures including a drunken cam view making the game unplayable or something along the line of that. I'd love to see how a drunken view is like!

first and foremost, I would like to thank everyone for their replies. No, I don't look too much into the bible for answers, it just leads to more questions for me....and I'm still left with a hole that burns too much to bear.

I am seeing a therapist, and she's good, but my husband refuses any type of counceling, he doesn't want this to work out.

My rant for tonight:

He just told me that he regrets having me here and that he is unhappy and the only reason he's "letting me stay here" is because of our son. I'm not searching for help. I'm just venting. I'm so hurt I don't know if anyone here has felt this pain before... I'm trapped here and I can't do anything about it, I'm not financially stable enough to support my son, and my husband isn't giving him up without a long drawn-out court thing. So I've become this drone, that doesn't have feelings (or at least can't show them due to the high dosage of anti-depressants) just sitting here forever indebted to my husband who for some reason turns everything around on me, who has chosen eternal unhappiness to be with my son. I wish I was selfish enough to take the easy way out. But I have my ray of sunshine... my little boy, that's what makes it so hard.

Sorry I just need to vent and if anyone is listening or even reads this... thank you for taking the time. Because all I need right now is for someone to care about me.

If it comes to seperation/divorce (though I'd hate to see that), then be sure to go through the courts. My mom made the mistake not to and now my dad is so wishy-washy on when and how much child support he will give my mom for me and my brother.

They already cracked that, and SecuROM, and Live and SC. But I doubt they can still play online - hopefully they won't.

Darn, I want that upgrade, now. Gotta wait till next year ..

@NathansMommy:

Despite your not looking in the Bible much, I will still be praying for you. I look in the Bible often, and I can vouch for how helpful it can be.

I'm glad you've found someone to talk to. Being able to reveal how you feel about these things is probably the most helpful thing you could do for yourself. I would still recommend talking to clergy of some kind, though; while therapists are trained to work with you to fix your internal problems, clergy are trained, quite simply, to give you hope. They can help you in a unique way in this situation.
