Earlier today I posted in the Sanctuary that my cold let up.

I had been sick like a dog for a few days, and I didn't feel up to leaving the house for anything - I can work from home and all that - so I didn't. This morning I felt great, then I walked out to my car.

Apparently, it's illegal to park on my own fricking street for more than 24 hours at a time. Two parking tickets were waiting there to greet me. :evil:

My rant is that people (and the media) are making far too big a deal over the American election. It has covered the media like slime so much that with the New Zealand election going on today, nobody cares about the National and Labour parties, it's all about Obama's move into the White House. And it should not be the end of the world for Republican (or other) supporters that Obama won. I see all these people hating him without justification, and it annoys me a LOT.

Rant: I'm sick of people whining over Obama being president. Just deal with it and move on already. x.x I was so glad when the election was over, I did follow it avidly, BUT I was sick to death of the complete and utter smear campaign. Personally, I would have voted for Obama simply because he wasn't acting like a cry baby and crying fowl over everything. By the end of it I was so sick I could puke. And they're STILL talking about it. Talk about wanting to poke yourself in the eye with a pencil.

The nerve of some people...

So I was at Moe's, a Mexican restaurant in the style sort of like Subway. I was getting a refill and I notice this woman, who is very pretty. I leaned over and told her that she is very pretty. I knew that she was probably in her 30's but a pretty person is a pretty person. She looks at me and just says how she is old enough to be my mother and then she laughed. She left with her friends, and she turned and said "I guess I appreciate it though."

I wasn't "flirting" with her or anything, I was just being nice. It's a shame when others can't even think to understand I was just being kind, not hitting on a 30ish year old. Yeah, I'm 16, but does that give her the right to laugh at me?
