Rants *enter at own risk*

Has anyone ever had someone say a seemingly normal statement to you, but it felt like they slammed a door in your face because it had some underlying secrecy and what they said really hurt, whether they meant it to hurt or not?

Yeah. Well, that just happened to me. And it doesn't have me feeling all that dandy.

@Eraser18: Yes. That really makes one feel depressed.

Rant: I can't eat any of my favorite sweets anymore, because one of the ingredients is gelatin.

For those who don't know what gelatin is: Gelatin is made of either a protein obtained from pork skin, or from cow's bone marrow, though in Finland they always use the pork skin (since it's easier to obtain).

I'm a semivegetarian, and I'm not allowed to eat anything related to pork because of my religion. I can't live without my Malaco Truly's!

E: Yay, first on the 350th page.

My rant: WORK. WORK. WORK. It's non-stop, never-ending. I go to school at 7:30, work until 3:30, get home at 4:30, and work until 10. If I'm lucky, I can have a half-hour rest between getting home and starting work again. I don't have weekends now; they're called "independent study breaks" now. I'm not even out of compulsory education yet, and already I just want out of my bloody 24/7 desk job. The only thing I've got to look forward to is another restless night trying to work out how much work I'll have the next day.

My insane history teacher almost suspended my friend, so I took the bullet for him and I am not allowed in class for the next week, have to sit with another teacher in a random class.

Also, he's dating the crackhead Spanish teacher who never addresses "la clase en inglés" at all.

:) (P.S. his undying "I love Obama" bias rubs off on all)

(p.p.s people hate me because I got accepted for mathematics scholarship to Cornell in 8th Grade after taking Johns Hopkins SAT back then)

Rant: My little brother was doing an art project today, and he was coloring a tree blue. My grandmother walked by, and instantly corrected him: "Trees aren't supposed to be blue! Make it green and brown!" It's hard to be Chinese and a creative artist at the same time when you have such a stifling cultural background.

To think that the UK had it bad, I'm wrong. I mean, which utterly stupid immensely idiotic imbecile's idea was it to enforce mandatory content filtering? It violates free-speech! It wastes PUBLIC money!

I feel sorry for those in Oz when this filtering system is introduced.

This one?

Yes, that one.

My new rant: Adobe have removed all their CS4 trials from their server, including the workaround. :(

Rant: Someone I care about is depressed, yet he puts on an act for everyone else to make it seem like everything's fine. The problem is, I don't know what he's depressed about. He'll privately discuss with me how he's feeling, but I have no idea what's making him feel this way. I'm not going to pull it out of him, if he wanted to tell me, he would. It's just hard to watch him like this, knowing I can't really do anything about it.

My free yahoo email account does not work on Thunderbird anymore, I have to pay for a Yahoo Plus to keep my email offline...!

I am really mad now because I have to go online every second of the day instead of just checking on Thunderbird

Indeed, at least Plus does. Normal Yahoo mail supports forwarding via programs like YPOPS.

Now that I think about it, Hotmail doesn't support POP3 anymore. Oh, well, I was just listing services.
