Rants *enter at own risk*

You'd think that the streets I ended up on -- which were right next to the freeway and had a view of the darn thing -- would have easy access to the freeway itself. Pffft.

We've got stupid exits in Indianapolis, too. There's one exit off I-70 West onto a surface street that takes you down about 40 or 50 feet to the street- which uses a ramp to do so. Then you have to traverse three different sets of one-way streets to even get back to the start of the exit. Madness!

The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.
Amy: But how did it end up in there?
The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.
River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

They just don't know when to quit, do they? :|

Of course they do. It's on December 31 in the year when the money stops coming in. :-)

I HATE being an insomniac.

Don't we all? I have suffered from insomnia, too (only for a week, though).

No we don't. I was an insomniac for so long that when I got over the long days and nights with no sleep I came to enjoy night more then day. So days off I am up till 6 AM. Days I got to go to the college I am up till 1:30 AM as I need some sleep for getting up at 6 AM.

After you do it enough it gets better. Sure on sunday sometimes you sleep till 5 PM but then your rested for the whole week :P.

BB has no right to remove the TF links out of our sigs. Since this forum allows ANY links in signatures if the links are good to follow the FFF rules. Then why can't we put a certain site.

That's just gone too far. LOL Good job BoltBait.

Good bye paint.net forum

EDIT: Im sorry mods. If in anyway ANYONE was spamming with the linnk, then i understand. I wish I knew who..

BoltBait had every right to censor the name. I bally well defend the action he took, and the position of us mods on the matter.

A spammer is banned and deleted, a cursive word is censored: that site was being batted around as both.

Announcements we being made on behalf of the site, 'recruitment' messages posted, and the trials and tribulations of the site broadcast here. Whilst we don't mind the banter of other forums or websites, we do mind it when it goes to the extent that this Forum is the off-site noticeboard for one.

I can't say I don't argee with you Myrddin as your right there was posts that advertised events. But just having a link to the site in your sig does not seem very wrong. I see more wrong with this user archanapatel sig as it is pure spam yet he is able to spam away. However a link to another image design site is a no no ?

Again I argee that there was some spam in off topic on topics related to that site and that it's removable and rule about not doing it was justified. But I just don't see why it was justified to remove a plan link from a user sig to the sites home page.

Does this mean that all users should remove any link they have to websites outside of the Paint.NET site ?

Myrddin you know I respect all of the mods including you and our regulars here, I never had a problem with any mods and nor do I have a problem now. I myself only go to that site from time to time to see if Mike is in the chat room. I am just looking for a better understanding of why a plan link like that would be banned in sigs.

Heavens no. Not at all. I had to be careful how I replied with concern to this, because there is nothing stopping you from linking in your signature to other places on the Web. The whole editing of signatures wasn't done as direct action, only indirect because of the word censor - even signatures are effected by this ban list.

Now, regarding the wording of my reply, I was adamant with myself to include this line no matter what else I said:

Whilst we don't mind the banter of other forums or websites, we do mind it when it goes to the extent that this Forum is the off-site noticeboard for one. [Emphasis added]
I hope that it made the distinction between idle chatter and the going over-board with comments.

Nothing wrong with voicing a healthy debate :).

rant: i want msn but my dad wont let me

hopefully he will soon.....

Ah, yes son. I recognize the pain of the suppression from your parents. At first, they wouldn't let me have MSN either. Over time, I became more and more handy with computers, and took both of them over. That resulted in a complete monopoly on the PC's in the house, and I have been Sysadmin since I was 11. Basically, the method is to learn more of computers then your parents do, trump them with your skills, and free reign is within hand reach. Now I can visit EVERY site I want, download EVERY program I want, and delete any of their files without being bothered. Well, except for the deleting files stuff, to which I mostly reply that they probably hadn't been there in the first place.
