The new Facebook's actually better. I used to hate scrolling through all those application boxes telling me that X has the Y of a Z, when all I want to do is make a fairly necessary Wall post pertaining to a coursework project. Of course, I could just talk to X, but that wouldn't be cool now, would it? We're not allowed to spontaneously converse with people any more. It's just not modern, not twenty-first century enough any more.

.:EDIT:.

Oh, the irony...

I am stuck at work till 9:30 but I was planing to go at 9:00. But there this person in the Lab using a computer so if she stays till 9:30 then I got to stay here as well as I am a Lab Monitor. I came in at 5:30 and she showed up at around the same time. What has she been doing for the past 3 hour, facebook !!!. Come one people is facebook the new warcrack huh, you got to be on it for 3 hours non stop. I log into facebook once a month, it got to the point that people just don't type on my wall, they contact me by this thing called a "phone" and the people I know over in the USA, and UK they contact me by Skype or Ventrilo. 100% voice. Hmm maybe she board, hell thats why I been on the forums so long as I can't get out to the servers from this access point. I also got a another Linux Assigment due. I hate the Linux Assigments, can't I just do 5 Linux Labs instead as I can do Linux / UNIX management the way it should be done and get away with it. Here I going to explain why Linux / UNIX Assignments suck for me. I have not read 1 chapter in this Linux book yet but I am pasting with flying colors. Why ?, because the questions and things that are in the book are things I know so far. Now they will give you case questions for assignments, So it will be like EG: "Jill has been telling employees how to set variables in Linux for and the employee are mad that they need to set these variables everytime they login. Jill wants to know of a way to set the variables automaticlly when the user logs in." No problem it simple she can wirte a script to do this and have this script setup to run when a user logs in. <-- Thats the right answer and it also a short anwser but guess what !, scripts are in chapter 14 and this is chapter 3 so I can't use that answer. Now I got see what they were teaching in Chapter 3. So 20 mins of looking it I find out they were teaching you to do it the long and hard way of getting each user to open there .bashrc file and putting each variable in it so it will load when the .bashrc loads on login., I did scripts last year for the 1st UNIX management and now the 2nd one is going over old stuff and things you would not do if your a UNIX administrator.

I just found out that the Final Fantasy IV hasn't even been ordered yet, so it takes about a week before it arrives in our local store. ARRGH! I am so annoyed. I have been waiting 7 months, I just can't wait any longer :'( Also I didn't do good in my Swedish test, and I'm unsure about my Chemistry test result (haven't gotten it yet)

Hatred does not cease by hatred, but only by love; this is the eternal rule.

Rant:

I'm tired. It's annoying because I can't entirely concentrate, I've developed some form of typing dyslexia, and I keep skipping words when I type or write. I look over a paper I've just wrote and think 'what in burning hamsters did I mean when I wrote that?!' or 'yes, I'm sure that sentence would have more sense if I didn't miss out writing half of it'.

Rant:

Numerous other, small problems and inconveniences that are amounting up. I'm sure the majority of us have been in the state of mind where the little niggles that would be otherwise brushed off begin to pile up, building to an overall angsty disposition.

I'm fed up.

On the up-side, some good things should just be around the corner. That corner which is fastly approaching and only one week away.

I'm having the same issue.

I have reread some of my recent posts and realized I made some dimwitted mistakes. :(

Linux has suddenly decided to hate me.

I'm building a server, so I download an ISO of Fedora 9. I try to burn it to DVD. My DVD writer goes belly-up. I transfer it to my flash drive and then to my desktop computer. I can't find any blank DVD+Rs, only DVD-Rs, which my laptop burner could use, but not the desktop one. I get some DVD+Rs. I burn the ISO, finally. I go to install it. The computer I'm installing it on has a lowly CD-ROM drive. Can't find a spare DVD drive. Oh look, there's one. I put it in. It doesn't work. Oh look, I found another. It manages to boot to the installer. YAY! But no... the installer hangs. I'm done with Fedora. I download openSUSE 11. I transfer that one to my flash drive. But wait, the FAT32 filesystem only supports files up to 4GB. I try to format it using NTFS, but that hangs up, and now I can't use my flash drive at all. Half an hour of command-line magic later, and my flash drive is now NTFS formatted. So I go to burn openSUSE to DVD. It fails with the deliciously ambiguous "action interrupted" error message. I reboot and try again. Success, or so it seems. I go to install it, and the media check tells me "Errors found on the installation media. The DVD is broken." What the hell. I burn another copy. This one passes the media check. I go to install. EFF! It hangs up again, exactly the same way the Fedora one did, except while installing a different package. Fedora failed during the install of Network Security Service or something. Probably can live without that. openSUSE fails while installing "Linux Kernel." Definitely can't live without that one... I haven't had this much trouble installing Linux on anything since my first Lin-stall. +5 points to anyone still reading this rant at this point. Since when has Linux installation been such a bitch? Seriously, I am this close to installing Windows Server 2003. Ew.

I hate driving in Seattle. I always end up lost ... I always joke that if a friend is mad at me, instead of telling me to 'get lost' that they should just tell me to meet them in Seattle somewhere.

It seriously took me 30 minutes to get to I-5 from Belltown. You'd think that the streets I ended up on -- which were right next to the freeway and had a view of the darn thing -- would have easy access to the freeway itself. Pffft.
