It's possible that there could be a proper reason for that, with absolutely nothing to do with this community.

I was gone for quite a while because of work and end-of-quarter schoolish frippery. David's in Orlando, so he'll be gone for about another month. Other than those, I think we're still around quite a bit.

I know I for one have posted more in the last two days than I had for the last two months.

Anyway, regarding Shadow of the Colossus: :evil:

I live in Manitowoc, which isn't exactly tiny, but it's nowhere near big. Basically, I've got three choices for Video Gameage within city limits: Wal-Mart, Shop Ko, and GameStop. Wal-Mart and Shop Ko were completely devoid of the awesomeness, but GameStop had a copy. Thing is, GameStop sucks. The copy of the game that was marked "New" was a Shadow of the Colossus insert in a case that used to belong to a used NCAA football title - they didn't even try to remove the "Officially Licensed Collegiate Product" sticker, and there was old price-tag residue in the corner.

I had one deal-breaking experience with GameStop right when The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess came out. Again, Wal-Mart was sold out, Shop Ko was sold out, but GameStop had three copies. All of them, though, were opened cases placed on the shelves with the discs removed and hoarded in envelopes behind the counter. Usually, they'll de-shell one to put out on display and keep the rest behind the counter, but this time was different. Now, I can see the value of taking the game out of the display case to prevent theft, but why take the discs out of all three!? Those were the only copies they had, and I ended up paying full price for a game that already had two nice scratches on it. I will never again buy a game from GameStop unless I see them take it straight from the drawers behind the counter, still sealed.

Oh well. That's why God made Amazon. It'll take a little longer, but it'll be worth it.

Thoughts on users leaving, wanting to leave and user Reese50.

Reese50 is new, some of her posts might be a little out there, some off topic, some doesn't make sense.

Haven't all of you done that at some point? maybe even when you've been on the forum longer?

From what I see, she is new and excited to be here, seems willing to adjust and learn the rules and such.

Be a little more tolerant, don't just leave because of 1 or a few user(s).

If you don't like someone's post, don't read it. (you can even put them on your foes list, then you won't see any of their posts)

and truth be known in my opinion the community started going downhill when this overflow started having so many posts say around last November...

And if you all are wondering why my production of pictures has slowed down its because I've been real ill and in and out of hospital for past couple of months. Like Ash said, you don't have to read someones posts. Lets face it, this is the internet, people have and always will be annoying on the internet. Sometimes if you tell a person DIRECTLY that they're a bit annoying and not many people like them because of it, they may do something to change that, but first you need to give them a chance.

I'm sure some people are thinking "who are you to say anything, you're new too." But I find it hard to believe that people are getting upset about the immaturity of Reese50, when they're being just as immature by openly saying things about her in the forum, but not specifically naming her, and saying they're going to leave because of her. I thought if you had a problem with someone, you were supposed to take it to PM? What kind of example does that set for newer users like me? To me its like whispering in the halls of school as someone walks by. Now I feel better that I've gotten that out.

I'd just like to say, if you go back to my first post in this thread, about my daughter being hurt, Reese50 was very sweet in telling me that she hoped that my daughter got better in a week instead of the three that it would normally take for the kind of break she has.

We did, in open forum discussion as a matter of public opinion. She said she would change, we thanked her, then she changed her sig to hold a grudge. But I do want to make it clear in an open forum that I did send her a message over dA asking her to 'shape up' a bit, and ignore some of the more rude comments if they continue. Either way, it still is immaturity for the win, which brings me to my next quote splice...

I never specifically named her because she is not the reason I am going to leave. I can name one member that I cannot stand even more that say you, Reese50, or Simon ( ) but even this particular reason is not the call for my coming absence. It is worthless arguement such as this, and PMs of the like that I have recieved, and questions that the moderators have been recieving that is driving me away. This is what happens when you try to have a close gnit of users in what should simply be a tech support forum for Paint.NET and I am getting a little sick of it. Perhaps some of the users may be leaving because of Reese50, but surely she is not the direct reason (and if they leave, hopefully I will see them at the CMDTackboard)

Anyways, hopefully this will settle this good ol' Rant arguement we have filling up the last six or so pages as it was my reasonless post declaring my departure that began this mess. Good day to all!

*applauds* That's why I was thinking of leaving earlier in the year! And also, since I've been at school and been busy making my friends graphics, I have no idea what all this stuff is about Reese50, she's a fine addition to our forum, so I'll be gone fpr the next few minutes checking what all this is about.
