adhanberry
So I wanted to ask you all a favor. Could y'all (Yes. Im from da South and I do no me some grammer and spellin.) please give me some criticism on my signature and avatar. I don't know exactly what these things are, but I think they're cool. I just want criticism on the graphic itself, not the text or anything please. Also, let me know how I could improve it. Ask questions too. Anything relating to my sig or avatar would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot!! EDIT: Since I first posted this topic, I have changed my signature. Feel free to give criticism on any sig that you see. Quote Hi. This is my signature.
Myrddin
Is the apple meant to look fuzzy around the edges? If so, then you've done a good job so far. If it isn't meant to be fuzzy, may I suggest the Feather plugin to help smooth them edges out. If it isn't meant to be fuzzy, may I suggest the Feather plugin to help smooth them edges out. That is why the edges are fuzzy. I used the Feather plugin. If I didn't use it at all, then the apple was too jagged. Does anyone know of any other ways to use the Feather effect on small things such as this Apple logo? Quote Hi. This is my signature. Myrddin
Maybe you don't have to. This may not work but it has for me in the past. With anti-aliasing on, draw a line around the two toned sections (with the relative colour - i.e. for the lighter grey use the same grey, and for the darker grey use that grey) and just curve it to the shape of the apple around the outer edge. It may take a while to get a suitable brush width but it might be worth it. I'll pop up an example in two ticks. adhanberry
Ok. I update my pictures and traced the Apples with a grey line using the Line/Curve tool. Does it look better now? (BTW, that's a good tip. I never thought about that!) Quote Hi. This is my signature.
Myrddin
Yes much better. Good job. EDIT: the question is are you happy? Quote How to Save Your Images under Different File Types My dA Gallery
adhanberry
Yes, I am extremely happy. Thanks so much. You might have already known this, but I learned this while creating my sig. and avatar. Hold down the shift button to keep the original proportion of an image when resizing it. I already used the shift button for perfect rectangles and that sort, but I didn't know that it kept the original proportion for images or anything that is selected. Once again, I am extremely pleased and thankful of your level of knowledge with Paint.NET. (This is random and stupid, but heck, it's the Overflow. Do I sound Southern in my posts [besides saying "y'all"]?) Quote Hi. This is my signature.
Bossk The Wizard Lizard
Maybe you should try a different font.
ncfan51
I think the font is okay, because since it is Sans Serif, it examplifies the simplicity of Macs/iPods Quote +_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+ I am a disco dancer. +_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+
adhanberry
Maybe you should try a different font. The font I used is Lucida Grande which is the font Apple uses as its font on iPods, Macs, etc.. Lucida Grande on a Mac is kind of like Tahoma on a Window's PC. Quote Hi. This is my signature.

barkbark00
LOL! I was wondering if anyone was going to answer my question.. Then you may want to consider posting in the correct thread: {The Pictorium} OR {{Rate the avatar of the poster above you!} AND {Rate the sig of the poster above you!}} Quote Take responsibility for your own intelligence. -Rick Brewster
