I'm baaack! *forum users scream in horror*

I finally came back after a 6 day vacation to New York. I originally came for a wedding, but I thought it would be cool to make a real vacation out of it.

It was much different from what I expected. It is the most ghetto place I have ever gone to. More ghetto than anyplace I've gone to in Orlando (and Orlando has the worst crime rate in the country). More ghetto than what I've seen in Manhattan. That place is so poor that Wal-Mart went out of business! It's so poor that the condemned buildings were being looted out! It's so poor that the casino has been loosing business! It's so poor that the fast food joints were boarded up! It's so poor that the Adult Movie store went out of business! It's so p-- I guess I should stop with my wise-cracks, shouldn't I? But most of that is still true. I never saw a Wal-Mart, over 40% of the houses and buildings were abandoned, half of the fast food places went out of business (and still not demolished), and same thing with the "Adult Movies" store.

Here's some more info: The population is over 60% Indian, I had the most expensive car within 10 miles (07 Saturn AURA; $20K), whenever you get lost you always end up at an abandoned store called "Betty" (I think it's cursed), and everybody looks at you when you drive by a specific run-down Indian restaurant called "the Taste of Southern Asia".

Miscellaneous funny happenings:

I found some spare car keys in the trunk of my rental

I got a fortune cookie that said "You will get what you want with your charming personality" (I'll upload a picture of it later)

I was one of 4 people that was staying in the hotel (and it's one of the most popular)

Some numbers:

6 days

$1200+ out of my pocket

29.4 MPG (I love that rental!)

150+ miles

$3.189 per gallon for gas

50-something TV channels

500 condemned buildings

3290184.3 Indians (from India)

0 computers :(

7.2MP camera on manual mode

2 SD cards (an old 128MB and a half-full 1GB)

600+ pictures

10 AA alkaline batteries

0KB spared

Pictures coming soon (I won't be in them)!

...The population is over 60% Indian...

India is awesome (Maybe I'm saying that 'cause I lived there before I moved to Moderapteropia...)! Is that an insult, because if it is....

Go India! Saare Jahan Se Achcha!

Sorry Rick, I'll stop posting in a foreign language..

This'll probably look like squares to you, but:

That doesn't show up in the post, but I can see it if I click Quote. But I have no idea what it says =P

EDIT: I see it now. Still don't know what it says lol

Yeah, this thread could use some serious On-Topic action. Like so:

Something I forgot to add in my first post:

I went around the Buffalo/Niagara area looking for some photography spots, and I found quite a few. Believe it or not, I found the area to be beautiful in the sense that there were so many photographic possibilities. But alas, I think I lost my second SD card in the hotel and I may not be able to show them to you :(

I went to Canada on the 3rd day, and it pwns. I see an an actual population there! I came across a whole bunch of cool things, but there are too many to list!

I never liked New York. Too busy, too much chaos, way to much to deal with.

You're talking about New York City. That's a state in itself. A world in itself. The rest of NY doesn't look anything like Manhattan, it's more homely (or at least most of it). This little statistic will make you think: The average sale price of a home in New York is $502,000

You should have stopped in Rochester!

I could have hosted the first ever PdNCon...
