Align Object Plugin - Updated 06/17/2007

Recommended Posts

I am not sure if you mean this but ...

2 objects on a layer are considered one object and WILL keep the same space between them, if you have each object on a different layer, then its a different object.

The class AlignPluginConfigDialogBase can be designed, but is not the first class in the file. Visual Studio requires that designers use the first class in the file. Move the class code so that it is the first class in the file and try loading the designer again.

That's the error message I recieved when opening up the design form.

It works wonderfully for me. You do know that a single non-transparent pixel throws the whole thing off, right?

The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.
Amy: But how did it end up in there?
The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.
River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

I've had a straY 100 pixies or two this is my solution, for those nastys,

use outline 1 pix wide

they now show up

so hit the back button and erase them as you have just found the offenders.

Excellent fix, Oma! I never even thought of that.

Using two Pyrochild plugins at the same time...hehe...

Oh, carp. You're right, as I knew you would be...It's just so awesome that I figured...

:-) Just kidding. I don't know where I got the idea that AI was yours. Whoops!

EDIT: Sorry, moc426! I love this plugin, and you're a great programmer.

@moc426: do you find you could add a field for a margin?

For example I would like to align the object on the left border but at 10 pixels from the side of the image.

I second this notion.

There have been numerous times when simply aligning the object to the utmost left corner, for example, is not suitable, and manually aligning has to be used, which has it's drawbacks, as you can imagine.

The ability to place an image precisely would be very helpful. Thirded.

For now, just draw a 10px box/line next to the object, where you want the margin. Make sure the color of the box is different that any colors in your object Delete the box when done.
