Stef
I want to download Paint.net and use it for Sims2. It says I need Net Framework 2.0 first. My question is, which one do I use for Windows XP - 86, 64 or IA64?
pyrochild
The version you download is based on what type of processor you have -- 32 bit = x86, 64 bit = x64, not the operating system you are running. But based on the fact that you don't know, you are probably running on a 32 bit, so go with x86 Quote ambigram signature by Kemaru [i write plugins and stuff] If you like a post, upvote it! Rick Brewster
Not necessarily. You need to look at what version of Windows you have. A 64-bit processor can run 32-bit or 64-bit Windows. Just right click on My Computer, then Properties. If it says "x64" anywhere, such as "Windows XP Professional x64 Edition" then you want the 64-bit edition. Otherwise get the regular 32-bit edition. Either way, it will give you an error if you try to install the wrong one, so you'll just waste time downloading if you choose wrong. You won't hurt anything. FireFly
I'm lucky then, I guess. I didn't even know there were different .NET frameworks till now. I just found one and installed it and everything works well.
