ncfan51
how would you create 3d stuff ?J Thanks Rotate/zoom. But real 3d is not possible since this is a 2d raster graphics program. For real 3d you'd need something like Blender. Quote +_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+ I am a disco dancer. +_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+

Syko_Chicken
BoltBait is that SketchUp any easier to use then blender? Even following the tuts for blender I got confused :S
Extra
Google... SketchUp? o_0 *begins downlading I wonder if it is better that GMax...
usedHONDA
It's easier than Blender and GMax, but not nearly as good. It's really used to make simple houses and stuff. No actual textures. Extra
I have been using GMax for about 2 years, blender I have had for months, but never got around to learning. The spaceships I make for my Spacescapes are made with GMax, though Blender is definitly better that GMax, except the learning curve. But GMax has no built-in renderer, meaning if I need an image of a spaceship, I have to take a screenshot. In 3ds Max 8, you can create a camera, a light, and tell the program to output an image of any size. I have done it with the trial version. Wish it was less expensive, though. sagedavis
ditto what Madjik said, I do use blender, as well as 4dblue and some others, but, by far, if you are a beginner, just learning, anim8or is deffinately the way to go. You can get some fairly professional looking images and AVI out of the animation render too. BUT, it doesn't deal with lighting as well as as blender and 4d blue does. There's a lot of options for free 3d programs. pov Ray for instance is a ray tracing program, which has the BEST quality (in my opinion) of all of the freeware ones, but, it's rendering is the slowest. Sage Quote When in doubt, Try it out. I made this sig file using http://www.anim8or.com and making all of the textures with http://www.getpaint.net I love freeware. usedHONDA
I know somebody that uses Cinema 4D on their Mac. It's mainly used for animation, though.
