aatwo
Basically I have a sexy spare 19" flat screen monitor (dunno why I am using the 17" one at the moment. Just too lazy to switch I guess...) and was wondering how you hook em both up at the same time. I read on google that either you throw another graphics card into your machine and hook the second monitor up to it, or you get some adapter thing that lets you connect two VGA cables to a single VGA input. I know some of you guys have dual screen setups so how do you do it? Quote Deviant Art Gallery
MattBlackLamb
YOu can get Graphics cards that have dual screen setups. I know my one supports it but I don't have the money (or the need) for a dual screen setup. Quote dA Son, someday you will make a girl happy for a short period of time. Kaiser Yoshi
My laptop supports that. It has a monitor port, so you can just plug one in and away you go.
usedHONDA
My sister has two monitors back in Australia (17 inch and 22 inch), but she has a like a million wires and ports connected to it. Bob
IIRC there's like Y things to connect multiple screens. Quote No. Way. I've just seen Bob. And... *poof!*—just like that—he disappears into the mist again. ~Helio
pyrochild
IIRC there's like Y things to connect multiple screens. just splitting your outputs with a Y cable will result in both screens showing the same thing. neat? yes. useful? probably not. aatwo
I got this in my display settings... so my card supports ze dual screening? So what do i do.. Quote Deviant Art Gallery
pyrochild
Yes yes. Your graphics card should have at least 2 outputs on it. Connect another monitor to the secondary output, go back into that properties window, in the dropdown list select the second one and then check "extend my windows desktop..." click apply you probably will want to adjust resolution and positioning Quote ambigram signature by Kemaru [i write plugins and stuff] If you like a post, upvote it! aatwo
Yes yes. Your graphics card should have at least 2 outputs on it. Yeh I got a DVI output on there. Will have to order a DVI - VGA adapter though. Thanks for the help. Quote Deviant Art Gallery
MattBlackLamb
Unless your other monitor is a DVI one then yes, my graphics card came with an adaptor.
