Well as you said, the 1st amendment grants freedom of speech and religion etc, and while you're concerned with the freedom of religion part of that, due to the freedom of SPEECH, there's absolutely nothing you can do about what they say about Wicca or anything else for that matter. IANAL, and I do not know the details about which country's laws govern each individual website. Don't know if it depends on where the server is physically located, or what country the creator of the site is a citizen of, etc... Assuming U.S. domain over this page, however, the only thing you can do is to either just suck it up and move on, or somehow trick them into hosting child porn. Good luck with that.

Hmm, that's a tricky one. I don't know much about how the internet works with it's rule and stuff, but if it really bothers you, you should report it. They might get it changed. But again, there is Freedom of Speech, so I'm not so sure...

Isn't there a "report this webpage" button on the Google toolbar or something? I don't know after I removed over half of the buttons.

Check this out:

(although it's a .uk site)

I believe the reprt button is only for phishing. Not sure though... I dislike 3rd party toolbars.

If only I lived there....

Then what else I can do? Any way I could try to get a law passed? If so how?

write congress, senate, your governor, your mayor, and maybe a few other mayors just for good measure, the president, but most of all TALK TO A LAWYER

Talk to your local congressman. Then he'll talk to the the State, then they'll talk to the senate, then it'll go to the president, then if it sounds good enough, it'll become a law.

BTW, sorry if I didn't describe the system right. My political sense is deluding.

Wait, Pyro, or somone, enplain this paragraph from Wiki

Defenses to claims of defamation include:

* Truth is an absolute defense in the United States as well as in Canada (with the exception of Quebec). In some other countries it is also necessary to show a benefit to the public good in having the information brought to light.

From one of the pages Pyro gave me.

(IANAL, so take EVERYTHING I SAY about law with a grain of salt)

What that means is that if what they said (the libel/slander) can be proven TRUE, then the defense basically wins right then and there, as if it's true then it's not technically libel or slander.

You must realize that even if you get the site shutdown or whatever it is your looking to do there someone else will just pop up in his/her place. The internet/world is full of people with many different opinions and that will never change. If you truly and 100% believe in whatever it is you believe in than what someone else says should not bother you in the least bit. I would die for my religion if it came down to it and nothing anybody says will ever change that so i say let em talk/write whatever the hell they want to cause at the end of the day i know who's right, ME.

There is always a way to contact them...

You know, it might be easier if you just grew a thick skin and simply "got over it".

Everyone has a different opinion on everything. Trying to silence a web site because they have a different opinion than you is just silly.

If I wanted to create a web site that said "All wiccans are idiots are are going straight to hell" there's not much you could do about it legally.

That said...

I'm really getting tired of you preaching your wiccan religon on this forum. Can we put our religious differences aside and start talking about how great Paint.NET is? Please? ;)
