Mike Ryan
A bit off topic here, but I have always found it strange that a Diclonius is one of the default avatars for Xblox Live accounts...

Crazy Man Dan
Wow. Microsoft and Sony both had awesome E3 pressers this year. Nintendo... Not so much. Indeed, although the new Metroid game could be pretty awesome. The only thing that really caught my attention was the new Golden Sun - I loved those games on the GBA. Of course, I plan to get a DS eventually - Other M looked cool, but my excitement is tempered by the fact that I don't really plan to get a Wii. david.atwell
So, yeah. Again, the SciFi channel proves that it's its own ridiculous joke. In their new preview for "Stargate: The Ark of Truth" and "Stargate: Continuum," there's a clip of Col. Mitchell sitting on the bridge of the Odyssey, saying "Weapons to maximum" with a rather uneasy look on his face. This is a joke, but the promo plays it completely straight. See, in the Stargate episode "200," they lampoon the idea of "weapons to maximum" in sci-fi shows by having the Captain Kirk analogue in the Star Trek parody order "weapons to maximum" when a "singularity" is about to "explode." They wonder, how would weapons being at maximum help the situation? The filmmaker, Martin Lloyd, says "People love weapons at maximum," to which Mitchell replies, "Never underestimate your audience. They're generally sensitive, intelligent people who respond positively to quality entertainment." Flash forward three years. Stargate SG1 has made its graceful exit, as well as two films. In one, Mitchell takes command of the Odyssey, and jokes, "Weapons to maximum." He then explains to the officer that it was a joke. Only, apparently, the person cutting the promo together has never seen the movie, nor the episode "200." Because he leaves it in, without the clarifying joke statement, as if it were a normal comment. Thus proving that, though Stargate has been lampooning the SciFi channel for ages, the SciFi channel still doesn't get it. Quote The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.Amy: But how did it end up in there? The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

Sozo
I just saw , making remember why I loved the Muppets as a kid.@David: I've given up on the "Sy Fy" channel, besides, I own all the Stargates on DVD, so there's no reason to watch reruns. Y'know, my friends and I spent all of the last two semesters watching through every single episode and movie released so far. Took us the entire schoolyear. david.atwell
Meh, I don't see "SyFy" lasting very long. Too lame to last. Quote The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... Gamer_World14
Yeah, Death sucks. Luckily I haven't experienced any personal deaths in my life yet, and hopefully I won't have to experience too many.
