Yyyyeaahhh....

The French and the British live fairly near one another...

The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.
Amy: But how did it end up in there?
The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.
River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

To rephrase a wise woman: I can see France from my house.

Technically, from what she uttered, it should be: I can actually see France from land here in Britain. But hey-ho, comedic licence and all that.

Talking about funny quotes there is the old one from Edinburgh Castle:

"When does the 1 o' clock gun go off?"

FWIU, it's somewhere in the middle.

well i dont know but how my french teacher pronouced "er"s with an "uh" like " hamberger" is pronunced "om-ber-guh"

He might've spoken with an accent, you know.

I just realised that I can speak 6 languages. Pretty amazing, huh?

Finnish, Turkish, English, Swedish, German, Japanese. :)

Hatred does not cease by hatred, but only by love; this is the eternal rule.

lol
In french' date=' -er, for example at the end of "Manger" (eat), is pronounced like an é, or [e'] in a phonetic alphabet. Not "uh". :P

It's obviously not going to be pronounced the same way considering it's an English word...
