Most definetly THX 1138 reference ;)

^ That one. ;)

Remembering happier times - the times during which George Lucas was making the awesome movies he'd go on to ruin later.

THX 1138 was a student film George Lucas created in film school. The 1138 meme has since appeared in many of Lucas' works, such as the line from Star Wars: A New Hope:

Prisoner transfer from cell block 1138.

There's a bunch of information about it on Wikipedia.

I'll give you a pass though, Rubrica, since you're still a young pup. :P

I am an organism, an animal, a creature, I am a beast.

A suggestion to the mods:

When this thread reaches 15 posts (or near 15) on page 1336, lock the thread, make at least 15 posts in the thread about anything other than the page number (I suggest a lolcat for each post), and then unlock it once it's on page 1338.

In fact, better to lock the Sanctuary as well.

And also Rants, because people will want to rant about not being able to post on page 1337.

Better to just lock the whole Overflow forum, really.

That's kind of my plan, actually...

The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.
Amy: But how did it end up in there?
The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.
River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

Well of course it's your plan.

Much more frightening than a hammer, no?

gloves in pie?

i find that most unagreeable.

apple in pie, now we're talking

*talk away, while we get to page 1337

No, GlovePIE is a scripting tool that enables you to change one input into a completely different output. Very useful for mapping different keys to my Wiimote.

Speaking of Wiimote, tommorrow I am off to Radioshack to get the parts for my custom USB IR Sensor bar so as to get some better IR readins off of the Wiimote. Here is the list of parts:

  • 30cm (12") of reasonably thin wire
1 x 91 ohm or similar valued Resistor (Maplin: A91R)
    2 x 3mm Infra-red LEDs (Maplin: N17BU)
    USB Cable
    Heatshrink
    Solder
Pen casing (preferably "Wii White" ;))
    Hot Glue/Putty/Blutak

Anybody ventured into the world of Wiimote hacking before and have attempted to create a USB sensor bar?
