Mike Ryan
This is strange... my PC clock didn't change the date tonight. Happening to anybody else? Anyways, I am thinking about creating a fun community wide collobration project in the Overflow. The goal: design and create (not actually program) and entire image editor, with debates regarding everything. Anybody interested?

Rubrica
Ah yes. The old days of middle school, when I used to whittle away my Computer class playing Pinball, since we never did anything else to begin with. Always wondered why they took it out of Vista and put...what's that say..."Purble Place"....in its place Yeah, what on earth is that weird purble thing!? Is there any objective, or did they just put it in there to kill you of boredom? Luckily, I have my Vista Solitaire as backup. I'm using the seasons theme for the cards, and the read hearts background.
Mike Ryan
Took me a while to find it, but I remember playing Pinball on my first Vista install

Mike Ryan
Absolutely not! I wouldn't do anything like that :o Besides, I am completely content with Paint.NET as a .NET application

Rubrica
...No. What are those? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alternate_reality_game Mike Ryan: I was thinking of making one, integrated with PdN, ie. steganography and hiding codes in images, and I could also make use of people's talents (code-breaking (also known as looking on codebreaking generators), logic). Perhaps you could help me make it.
Myrddin
here[/url]":3a9mu6bw][in reference to Myrddin's avatar] ^^ im sry but your avatar (to me and what i can make out of it) looks vary scary and disturbing.... what is that thing?Minoeman is correct, it is a man with a beard, but a particular man at that. Cutting a medium story short, 'Myrddin' is Welsh for Merlin, that is a depiction of Merlin and is the first image on Wikipedia's article on Merlin. This post is beside the point, I'm more curious as to why it disturbs you. What were your original thoughts, if you don't mind disclosing? ----- I collected today my form for a provisional driver's licence and am in the process of filling it out. All I require now is a photograph. Despite the subject, I will not be learning to drive, not for a while anyway. This is for a number of reasons: [*:3a9mu6bw]I'm poor and jobless (regardless of college bursaries (EMA)) - this means I cannot afford the lessons, test, nor car. With the car comes all the maintenance, taxes, fuel and other payments which I equally cannot afford to pay;[*:3a9mu6bw]parking - we're already underspaced for parking outside our house as it is, leading to frequent troubles, without me adding to that;[*:3a9mu6bw]congestion - running along the same lines, there are enough motor vehicles on the road without me contributing;[*:3a9mu6bw]the bicycle is cheaper as well as more ecological and healthy. Where pro et contra is concerned, for me, cons outweigh the one pro of getting to my destination quicker. So why in God's name am I applying for a provisional licence now? This is twofold: 1) the cost of application is £50 compared to six months ago when it was around £30 - therefore applying now will save me money in the future; 2) it serves as excellent proof of age when purchasing alcohol without risking the safety of my non-existent passport. Booyah. Quote How to Save Your Images under Different File Types My dA Gallery
Rubrica
That's creepy. Thats really creepy. I was just reading the wikipedia article on Merlin, looked at that image, remembered your avatar, checked the forum again, and youd posted. Wow. That really takes the member award I nominated you for to new levels.
Crazy Man Dan
Booyah. Booyah indeed. --- I've been having so very much fun with Studio Liverpool's online skin editor for WipEout Pulse, more than I ever thought I would. [ Click the image for the full-size, 5-angle studio gallery ] Granted, it's a tad blurry - the pixels are pretty large anyway, and it's run through a bilinear sampler after that - but on the model in-game on the PSP screen, it is a thing of awesome. What's more, it was all created per-pixel by hand - every decal, every letter, every line. It took about two and a half hours all told, but it was very worth it. By the way, you should recognize the ship's number, found most clearly on the left rear panel. Crazy Man Dan
Most definetly THX 1138 reference ^ That one. Remembering happier times - the times during which George Lucas was making the awesome movies he'd go on to ruin later. THX 1138 was a student film George Lucas created in film school. The 1138 meme has since appeared in many of Lucas' works, such as the line from Star Wars: A New Hope: Prisoner transfer from cell block 1138. There's a bunch of information about it on Wikipedia. I'll give you a pass though, Rubrica, since you're still a young pup. pyrochild
A suggestion to the mods: When this thread reaches 15 posts (or near 15) on page 1336, lock the thread, make at least 15 posts in the thread about anything other than the page number (I suggest a lolcat for each post), and then unlock it once it's on page 1338. In fact, better to lock the Sanctuary as well. And also Rants, because people will want to rant about not being able to post on page 1337. Better to just lock the whole Overflow forum, really.
