I will probably never be happy with any current governments, so I'm just going to somewhere I can have a lot of fun while hating the government.

Hello, Netherlands!

Actually I would probably prefer Japan.

In other news, 10 DAYS!!!!

Until... what? World Diabetes Day?

The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.
Amy: But how did it end up in there?
The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.
River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

Reality check: the world didn't fall apart when Clinton was president, and it's not likely to fall apart now. I still think that the nation made a mistake.

One reason to be glad, in my opinion anyway, is that you don't have Sarah Palin as 2nd in command. No country needs someone that reactionary in a place with so much power, you need a person who will think before doing & considers more than 1 or 2 options in a crisis.

I think, if McCain had died during his time as president, Sarah Palin would not have been a good leader. From what I've seen of her, she jumps to conclusions far too quickly & that could lead to some horrible decisions.

Son, someday you will make a girl happy for a short period of time. Then she'll leave you & be with men that are ten times

better than you can imagine. These men are called musicians. :D

How reactionary can you consider her in the few months she was in the public eye? Everything she did in Alaska was revolutionary and well thought out. Where did you see her as too reactionary?

I'll recommend PcSpecialist (Sozo's 1), you can spec your PC to your exact requirements, they are currently putting a laptop together for me. :)

TechSupportForum is a good place to ask if you want advice on anything computer related :)

To be honest, I'm just looking for a computer which is a decent gaming computer, but not that expensive, credit crunch 'n all. :)

I wish XP could use 4 GB's of ram to it's full potential, or at least able to get a 64 bit version of it.

David.

Thinking about my post, I think aggressive under pressure is probably the best way to put it. When Obama started getting a lead on her & McCain she resorted to petty arguments to try & win back the vote. If something similar to 9/11 happens again (I hope it doesn't I'm just hypothesizing), then I would much rather have someone that doesn't send thousands of troops into 15 different countries 2 hours after they hear about it. It makes much more sense to wait & consider things for a decent amount of time.

@MBL:

Point granted. But my point is that I don't think that we saw enough of her during the campaign to be able to make that decision.

I still say Huckabee 2012. :-)

@BB:

...where's Galt's Gulch?

Palin? Less sensible, less knowledgeable, less reliable than Gordon Brown even...

Certainly less expeirenced than Gordon, much as I'm not a huge fan of Gordon, I'd much rather have him in charge than Sarah Palin.

Well, I'd rather neither and have some sort of total democracy: the people propose the laws, the people vote for the laws, you the people pass the laws, but you can't have it all. At least Brown hasn't expressed a desire to go to war against Russia.

With plenty of gunpowder and treason, yes. :-)

I did make note of it. But I didn't celebrate it, per se...
