I just test-drove a jet-black 2005 BMW 545i ... oh wow. So tempting.

Aren't they very expensive "over there" since the dollar is so weak against the euro?

BMW's have become more expensive over the last few years. My theory is that they were forced to start importing the 1-series in order to fill the price hole left by the increasing price of the 3-series. However, after doing the math, the price creep isn't really that far from normal inflation (about 3% per year).

Plus, what I test drove was a 3 year old 545i ;) It was priced just under $36k USD, but one could easily talk them down a few grand. A brand new 550i will cost you twice that (the 550i replaced the 545i in 2006).

Sadly, I will not be purchasing one*.

Something interesting happened today. I was Googling away as usual, clicked on one of the results, and it made this little dialog pop up that said:

ATTENTION! If your computer is struck by the virus, you could suffer data loss, erratic PC behaviour, PC freezes and creahes.

Detect and remove viruses before they damage your computer!

Antivirus 2009 will perform a 100% FREE and quick scan of your computer for Viruses, Spyware and Adware.

Do you want to install Antivirus 2009 to scan your computer for malware now? (Recommended)

Me being so into geeky things, I knew that Antivirus 2009 is obviously a hunk of BS to begin with, in addition to my hearing that this very name has been notorious among security geeks for the last few weeks. So I'm thinking "Wow, so this is what they've been talking about. Pathetic." and closed the dialog box. Then, out of nowhere, about 20 tabs open by themselves, all of them looking exactly like this:

[by the way, this screenshot was taken by me because I couldn't find one through Google]

So, for a few seconds, I took the time to admire the work that this guy did while making this piece of malware, watching all the little JS scripts do their magic, looking like the real thing. Then, when it got boring, I just pressed Ctrl+W, and held it until all the tabs were closed.

After that, I looked up the website where the malware attempt came from (plotec-werbung.de) and found a plethora of well thought-out attempts at getting the average Googler's attention. I must say that the dude responsible for this is pretty smart. Check it.

bombard the forum at nighttime. :)

Whose nighttime?

The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.
Amy: But how did it end up in there?
The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.
River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

Oh, I forgot we all dont live on EST (-5) Mines. :)

Today, we will not have this awkward silence like yesterday and bombard the forum at nighttime.
Oh we won't, will we? Any particular reason?

Because we'll have awkward chats, like this, for example.

I hate these days off that arent actual holidays for governments and etc, because then i just sit on random forums all day.

So does anyone now why IPB forums take longer to load than Forumer?

I would guess because they are more complicated than phpBB. Although I would say it is most likely a difference in server resources between Forumer (who have several servers, not sure how stretched they are) and the server Mike Ryan has bought (I presume you are reffering to TagFlow).

I had the weirdest dream ever.

I was in school but it was impossible to escape - almost like a prison and I wanted to get out. Then guess what? I've got tatoos which are actually escape plans. The next thing that happens is I've got a bunch of "inmates" who are helping me. We dig a tunnel and so on and so on and eventually we escape.

What a weird dream. It's practically like Prison Break. :| Maybe all this is because I've been watching too much PB or maybe I've made too many origami cranes.

Moving onto origami cranes, I'll be giving my DT teacher a little present tomorrow.

... which is why i prefer BBC over ITV, unless the footballs on. :P

I'm guessing that the ITV ratings will drop if they do implement adverts into their shows.

True, ITV will suffer "big time".

Moving on from that, thanking your teacher for everything can be a good way to wind him up, especially your DT teachers. After all, teachers have always been demanding respect from pupils and now they get it! :P I now say "Thank you" to my DT teacher all the time and it really does drive him round the bend.

PS: Congrats on your 1000th post :mtdew::bmw::bmw::mtdew::mrgreen:

Who knows what next, after all, the entire Phorm thing is already really ridiculous so where the next ads be? On our furniture? Or on our clothes, music and even books (not mags)? :|

EDIT: 2 unfunny jokes :D

1. Q: What do you call a chef who breaches copyright laws?

A: A pie rate

2. Q: What do you call a drunk Beowulf?

A: Beerwulf?

:lol::lol:

Those were actually moderately funny.
