Myrddin
Now see that's something, there is the British spelling and the American spelling of program/programme (respectfully). It's a bit like colour and color. This is something I've always wondered, both countries speak the same language - more or less e.g. rubbish and trash - but yet with words such as colour and color they have slightly different spellings despite the same meaning, but why? Wouldn't you think same language same spellings? Quote How to Save Your Images under Different File Types My dA Gallery
pyrochild
the same reasons any languages differ. think about it, japanese, korean, (chinese?) and other asian languages all came from one ancient language, but as the distances were great and communication lacking, things got changed over time and the languages evolved. same with latin (french, spanish, english, etc...). of course, these things don't change as fast anymore with the massive increase in communication (phones, internet, mail), so american english and british english will probably always remain fairly close. edit: there is the British spelling and the American spelling of program/programme (respectfully). I think you mean "respectively." In which case, you got it wrong, as you implied that the British is "program" and the American is "programme." usedHONDA
If Firefox does it, why shouldn't we? Ok so who own a CD press ? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CD_manufacturing I did the math, and I created a mini software suite for a 200mb mini-cd: Process explorer OpenOffice Firefox PDN .NET Framework 3 7zip Google Dekstop Thunderbird Superantispyware Free Hijackthis Eusing Free Registry Cleaner Consolas font pack Inkscape It all comes down to 191MB. I don't know why I wasted my time doing all this, but it was fun. Crazy Man Dan
From The Pictorium: GIMP is foreign to anybody that uses it.... even long time users! What is this, Anti-GIMP propaganda? In honesty, The GIMP's interface is second-nature to me. I use The GIMP for work, and there have been times where clients are sitting there with me as I'm working on a graphic for them. Almost every one is astonished at how my fingers fly. Rectangle Select, [Ctrl]+[shift]+[C], [Ctrl]+[N], [Alt]+[O], [Ctrl]+[V], [Crtl]+[shift]+[N], [Pg Dn], [Ctrl]+[Alt]+[D], [Ctrl]+[Alt]+[P], [Ctrl]+ Customizable keyboard shortcuts for the win! The only problems I've been having recently are due to a few lingering issues in the Beta version I'm testing. A few different behavior things to which I'm still acclimating myself. But no, it's not foreign to someone who takes the time to learn it. It's all well and good promoting PDN, but you doesn't has to lie to do it.
