livewrong811
Since no one really gave me any feedback, here's the repost of my idea for a new thread: So, I've been thinking of making a new thread, in The Overflow, titled "Firefox Plugin Discussion". I think it would be nice, because the majority of Paint.NET forum members use Firefox, and so do I, and it takes a good amount of trawling through the plugins section of the Firefox website to find really good, useful plugins. In the thread, people would tell what plugins they have, give a short summary of each of them, and if they found that plugin helpful, or fun, or useful. They could also tell what settings they have it on, and what they use it for. The thread could also be support and help for some of the plugins, to some extent (so Rick won't yell at me).Tell me what you think of this idea, what you would add to it, and so on. And yes, I searched for it, and didn't find any threads remotely close to this--But, if there are, please tell me. Please respond to it, this time! Simon Brown
Why can't people just post in the existing Firefox thread or the off-topic?
pyrochild
Since no one really gave me any feedback, here's the repost of my idea... Don't do that. It's quite rude. People will respond once they have time to see it, and only if they have anything to say. You are assuming not only that everyone on this forum has already read it in the 2 hours or so since you posted it last, and that they all care. They will see it when they see it, and that's good enough. Mike Ryan
I dont think there is much more anything can do to result in an even greater lack of quality posts in this forum. Go ahead. (Secretly I just called you a Goat Head)

As our fellow forum members have outlined, this would just not work out. There aren't all that many forum members who are developers, and they may not necessarily use Firefox. The new thread wouldn't really be worth it and would eventually either turn into spam or die out. To my fellow forumers, shame on you. :? A simple and polite "No" is all that was required, and maybe an explanation. Nothing else.
usedHONDA
Well, I've been deeply inspired today. Image Image Everything in ~Uribaani's gallery is absolutely mindblowing! Absolutely no imperfection visible. Only perfection. It makes one rethink their passion of graphic design. Do I really deserve to have 6000+ pageviews on dA? Do I deserve the 20 favorites and 750 hits I got on a 1-hour Paint.NET job uploaded less than 2 months ago? Is this really anything more than a simple hobby? Heh. ______ On a different subject (though within the same genre), Genius introduced two new tablets today; the G-Pen M609 and M712 [picture]. The M609 is 9"x5.5", 1024 degrees of pressure sensitivity, 4,000 lines per inch, and 26 hotkeys on the side. The M712 is a bit more masculine, with 12"x7.25" screen measurements and 34 hotkeys on the side. The MSRP for the tablets are $195 and $249, respectively. Helio
Yes, he is inspiring. I've been watching him for some time now, and the flow continues on and on... Sometimes a few pieces in a row. He works very quickly, sometimes only an hour, hour-and-a-half for some of his pieces. I quite admire a lot of his web designs, and his graphics are top-notch. Good stuff. jake2k
I pull that guys deviations all the time while browsing DA, I'm like that piece looks cool, *click* hey its that guy with the weird avatar again! haha Speaking of inspirational artwork I was thinking about a little forum competition: Basically you take a really cool piece of artwork and then everyone can try and replicate it, they can just try and make the same thing or they can spice it up a bit with their own designs. They would mostly be website layouts or interfaces, etc. something that could be made without using any stocks or renders just 100%PDN. Now before you say anything the point of this game is not to promote ripping or plagiarism but to gain skill and knowledge of PDN. I have learned a lot by replicating others work and of course I would suggest that any of the art made for the competition not be posted in there gallery or elsewhere. Anyone think they would be interested in competing in this? Quote ^Click to visit my Flickr Gallery^
007 Nab
While there have been competitions like this before, they've never really been 100% PURE PDN. I really would like that - no Chaoscope, Terragen, Stocks, C4ds, or anything. Pure PDN would be really cool - it'd be a good chance for people to show true artistic skill. +1 for jake's idea Quote "pyrochild, you're my favorite person ever. livewrong811
Yeah, Jake, that idea does sound pretty good. I like replicating logos and such. I'll just see one of them, open Paint.NET, and start working on it. And even if I end up with it looking horrible, I still had fun.

livewrong811
Good news, everyone! I just got over my laziness and began to work on my website in Visual Web Developer.
