Mr Frojo
Ok. Ill get on that. Wait, second thought, maybe in a little bit. Not when 3 mods are on at the same time. Anyways, first day of school today. Ive got teh worst schedual ive ever had, seeing how i know pretty much nobody in any of my classes. The good thing is ive got what will be the easiest class ever! Graphic arts. Its a photoshop class designed for people who have never touched a graphics program in their life. That seems like it should be easy. Quote I'm still alive! usedHONDA
Cool. You'll probably only learn like three small tips throughout the school year Do you get a free copy of CS2/3? Mr Frojo
I wish. We use the CS2 on the school computers, and thats it. Still though, we go though as much in this class as I learned in my first week of pdn'ing. Quote I'm still alive!

Mr Frojo
I downloaded pdn for free! Yea, even if I do get photoshop or someother big program like that, i doubt I will be leaving pdn behind. Open source programs are the best kinds of programs there are. Quote I'm still alive!
david.atwell
*shrug* I own the CS2 suite, and I still use PdN. I do use Adobe Illustrator more than Inkscape, though... usedHONDA
It's only 4.5 months until my 1-year PDN forum anniversary! Just around the corner! Anyway, I'm back playing Zelda. I think I'll make a deviation out of it (maybe a wallpaper). Mr Frojo
I discovered paint.net a few days before christmas, so not too long after you did. I didnt come here for a while after though. Quote I'm still alive!
Sozo
I found PDN before Thanksgiving, but I didn't use it much until almost Christmas time, when I got a laptop. Then several months later, I registered here!
Mr Frojo
It seems that most everyone here joined all around the same time. That was right after pdn 3.0 came out, so that might explain the huge jump in users, but that doesnt apply to me, seeing how I started with 2.72 Quote I'm still alive! Myrddin
I too started with v2.72 and it was with a crash in v3.0 beta 2 which got me e-mailing Rick and browsing the forums then a WebUser article which brought me to join the forum. Plain sailing since and only twice when I thought you all hated me, don't ask me why I've slept since then and can't remember . Sozo
Congrats on post 1200 Myrrdin! And yeah, every newbie has a moment when they screw up/get embarrassed and think the whole forums hates them. I know I did.
Mr Frojo
My story: Way back then, I decided I wanted to get into graphics. I went to snapfiles looking for a good program. I decided that because GIMP was rated the highest, it must be the best. I downloaded it, and started messing around with it. The UI was a little confusing, and there was some stuff I didnt like. I decided that I would have to deal with it, unless I want to spend a ton of money for a commercial product. A few days later, I was messing around in GIMP again, when I decided that I was done with it. I went back to snapfiles, looking for a new program. I tried out several, but I remember opening paint.NET for the first time. It was unbelivably easy, with a great UI. I decided that that was the program I was going to use. The next day, I visited the paint.NET site, and browsed the tutorials, looking for cool stuff to do. I tried that fire tut, but realised that they were using a different version than me. I checked the site, and there it was. v3.00 beta 1. I got it, and continued to browse the forums, because I did not want to be a noob when I joined. After a while, i realised that this program was a ton easier than I though, so I joined. /long story Quote I'm still alive!
