usedHONDA
*raises hand* I used to play an alto sax in middle and high school! Though I stopped playing it in 10th grade completely... >_> As another update, I'm having major issues with my motherboard right now on the Ubuntu computer, but I do have the WiFi set up (I'm using the router right now)! EDIT: BTW, the installation time for the router was about 30 seconds. And to think that those 30 seconds could have cost me over $100 with Geek Squad... >_< Quote "The greatest thing about the Internet is that you can write anything you want and give it a false source." ~Ezra Pound twtr | dA | tmblr | yt | fb
pyrochild
Considering Linux is supposed to be far more stable than Windows, you sure have a lot of problems with your Ubuntu box Quote ambigram signature by Kemaru [i write plugins and stuff] If you like a post, upvote it! usedHONDA
Well it's really the Motherboard's fault (and I don't know how to use the Terminal ). Crazy Man Dan
I've had a little experience with BAsh. It's actually a rather comfortable language once you get used to it. Problem is, that was about two years ago, and I haven't used Linux much since. I really need to look into finding my Broadcom driver to see if ndiswrapper will run it. I wonder if it'd work in Fedora Core 6... usedHONDA
Is it worth going to all this trouble to get Ubuntu set up? Well... yeah. Also, I may get another hard drive in there and install Vista on it. Status report: I'm not sure what the problem is. When I insert the USB adapter into the slot, the computer locks up. I've searched for other happenings of this and have gotten several possible explanations: 1. The computer is sending too much information to USB adapter 2. I have a weak power supply or the USB is sucking up all the power it can 3. The motherboard doesn't understand the concept of Drive priorities. 4. The computer hates me. usedHONDA
Well I know it will work out somehow (even if I need to get another adapter). Another possible explanation is that the driver isn't installed yet. Tag
Drivers always help... and if your using a usb spliter that could be the problem too, the signal isn't supposed to degrade but it does. (it's like how your signal degrades fairly rapidly with your cable TV or net the more spliters you use, after a couple spliters you can't even get good digital) .... I pulled my hair out trying to figure out that problem awhile back.
