Happy Birthday CS! :present: :cake:

Yes, indeed. Have my coffee. :trophy::trophy::trophy::trophy:

Like the cup??

:cone::cookie::cone:

But it's my cookie.

:nuke::yinyang::nuke:

I will nuke Korea.

:nuke::AutoLevel::nuke:

And the Twin Towers.

PS As a present could you finish Cobalt?

:FrostedGlassEffect::FrostedGlassEffect::FrostedGlassEffect::FrostedGlassEffect::FrostedGlassEffect: Cheers.

I'm really loving the new feature of this board where you can click on the paperclip shown before a thread title and get a list of all files attached to that thread (with thumbnails). Then, you can click the response number to be taken right to the individual post.

That is so cool.

That's my kinda cup. :lol:

I'd be happy to give you a present by finishing Cobalt but I'd probably turn it into a jewel or art deco. Best present I can give you is to let YOU finish Cobalt. :blink:

You're better off going through life wanting something you haven't got than having something you don't want. :P

All right, so I have a large, long video file that I need to take video clips out of for a presentation. Does anyone know of some good programs to do this with?

Actually, yes. Do you have $250?

Nah, kidding.

Ummm, look for trials of Camtasia Studio 6 and Pinnacle Studio 14. I own both.

Oh, here's a trial for Camtasia Studio. Very easy software. Drag-n-drop, split, etc., title screens, annotations.

You could always try Windows Movie Maker/Windows Live equivalent in Windows 7 or alternatives like VideoPad to cut out the parts you need and then use the Insert Movie option to embed them into your presentation.

In order to "celebrate" the new forums, here is an unfunny joke which is half-baked as standard. boltbait.big_smile.png

When Rick Brewster takes up knitting as a hobby, what does he end up renaming Paint.NET to?

Paint.Knit boltbait.lol.pngboltbait.lol.png (Funny eh?)

Now then, how likely is it that Rick would ever take up knitting as a hobby and end up renaming PDN?

Vista, I'm going to whomp you. That was just awful.

The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.
Amy: But how did it end up in there?
The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.
River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

If you feel daring, Syd (sidneys1) has a new video editor he is working on. It's still in beta, but since he is brilliant, it might help you with your project. Here is the link, http://filmfree.sourceforge.net/

WOW.its good to be back!I was begining to have withdrawl symptoms..however,I found "fans" and was hoping it would be o.k. to comment "here" on issues raised "there".

@Possum: I have beeen desperatly trying to contact you in relation to the PM you kindly sent me..in the middle of my reply, I turn my back for five mins.

and ..WHAM..everything gets locked down..and I"m thinking..OMG. I"ve killed paint.net..

(not such a mad notion when you consider I"ve got the technical knowhow of an ameoba!!)

Anyhow.. I really wanted to a big "THANKS" for your patience with me moving my images although, I may need to ask for your help again as just when I was getting the hang of it..they have gone a.w.o.l... let me know if it would be ok to ask for your assistance once again.regards j.d.

P.S. love your sig. on fans.I like to think its very "you". bright and colourful..

regards to all. J.D.

Yes, I would be happy to help you. There is some difference in the tools on this forum, but the process is much the same. Just send me a PM whenever you need help. I'm on here almost every day. Great job on your WOTW entry. It looks great.

While googling something pdn related, I found a site that offered me 'the new program of Rick Brewster' which turned out to be the old 3.36 of pdn and they even claimed I could try the alpha of 4.0.

There has never been an alpha of 4.0, or has it?

Early builds of Paint.NET v3.5 were labeled as Paint.NET v4.0, because at the time it was Paint.NET v4.0 ;)
