Helio
This has been a question that has bothered me for months now. What's everybody's brightness and contrast setting for their monitors?I've been playing around with my settings and finally settled with a brightness of 50 and contrast of 100 (colors are more saturated). IMO my cursors look better now. That's what I've had mine on. Quote v An excellent open–source strategy game—highly recommended. "I wish I had never been born," she said. "What are we born for?" PineappleQc
Yes, I always the brightness and contrast to the max in any videogame. Otherwise, it's deadly dark and you don't see anything. Mr Frojo
Its cool when its dark for some videogames though. Ive never touched my brightness/contrast on my moniter, and i think that its fine the way it is. Quote I'm still alive!
pyrochild
When I used CRT monitors, I always had to crank the brightness to see anything in darker video games, but now I only have LCDs, and I never have to touch those settings anymore Quote ambigram signature by Kemaru [i write plugins and stuff] If you like a post, upvote it! Myrddin
I believe mine to be default settings as I can't be bothered to change them plus, I have no need to anyway - PS2 is my gaming platform of choice . Soon to be PS3 though but I'll be waiting until the price drops down from the presently outrageous one. Yata
This is from a friend on another forum and I don't fill like bringing back to life the quote thread: Now I must tell you something,And take it with care, A man can have all wealth, and live in despair. Myrddin
How many people are keeping to the old 500x100 px sigs, and not the conforming to the new 500x150 px? Quote How to Save Your Images under Different File Types My dA Gallery
Crazy Man Dan
I have a text-based sig. Usually, I go with whatever looks the best. For instance, the sig I made for this SOTW was 150px tall, simply because making it shorter cropped out too much of the cat. Usually, I prefer shorter sigs, just because a sig is "not post", and too much "not post" in a post is distracting and unnecessary. There are, however, occasions where using the extra 50 pixels is understandable, and in some cases, necessary for the look the user wants. Myrddin
I agree. For the signature I'm working on at the moment includes columns of a kind so the extra 50 px would make it look better and less pressed-to-fit, but then it will be predominantly a text based signature and your point on "too much "not post"" is valid and could be quite difficult on the reader while scrolling down, so may be a border is in need or a new approach. The thing is I don't want it to end up like the quoting signature I used earlier which utilized the quoting boxes of the forum which didn't go down so well. To be honest with you I don't know, maybe I'll do a few versions and see which looks better, I do have example forum layouts saved which I test my signatures on so that will come in handy. Thank you for your opinion CMD, much appreciated and thought provoking as always. Mr Frojo
Im working on several things, but the main thing right now is an icon pack. Once done, it will have about 450 new icons to choose from. It might be more, but im not sure. Then after that, i could make a curser set. Ive been meaning to do that ever sense uH's curser pack reminded me that paint.net could make cursers. So once I finish one of those, i will create a dA Quote I'm still alive!
