No awards for runners up. Sorry.

BTW, Simon, I had to leave the #PaintDotNet group. I was getting spammed with dozens of Polar Inversion pics per day. Yuck. :P

New ranks. This will be very interesting!

Anyway, here's a new half-baked joke for you to enjoy if possible: :P

What do racing drivers use to enhance their performance?

Steeroids :lol::lol::lol:

One warning: IIRC leaving a DeviantArt group doesn't unwatch it - you have to specifically do that.

PMSL @ the OMG :lol::lol:

I guess it's how you use it, then ?

Both these use Polar Inversion pretty heavily ... Click 1 Click 2 ... and I was quite proud of these :cry::cry:

Wow, there are quite a few images from the forums on page 1 of Google Images alone. If this growth of images linking back to the forums continues, PDN will be only known for one thing... PI.

Moving on, I might have a look at m-shell which allows for S60 apps to be made although I have no experience in programming so this could turn out to be a very interesting failure but nonetheless, it will very fascinating to someone who finds Symbian fascinating albeit rather outdated in some manners. :shock:

Many things that I try to learn always fail in some form so I doubt this will be an exception.

While watching all that iPad hoopla, I kept thinking about this video:

I kept waiting for Jobs to say something like, "haha just kidding, did you really think this is why we gathered all of you here today?" ... except he didn't. They're completely serious about it. The apple.com home page says it is a "magical device". Magical? Really? Unicorns are magical ... they're also fictional.

Good thing I didn't buy any AAPL stock.

Old, but still proves a very good point.

Though I just noticed for the first time ever Pdn had no spraypaint tool O_O

And that, again, proves how much Rick has thought about this program!

You can't use it as a drawing tablet??

Worthless piece of.. bloody potato.

You sort of can -- they showed a really cool drawing app, complete with layers.

But the whole point of a drawing tablet is that it's hooked up to a PC/Mac that can handle high-resolution drawing, and can be part of your overall workflow instead of something you have to constantly "sync" with.

It's not supposed to be a drawing tablet. It's supposed to be a touchscreen mobile device (ie. a huge iPhone). How would you draw with any precision with your finger? And, since it's a capacitive screen, it doesn't recognize pressure sensitivity.

If it didn't run iPhone OS 3.2 and didn't have a 1" bezel, I would actually want one.

My guess is that the second generation will be called the Apple Max iPad.
