Tekdino
This is my first post here so don't blame me. Could someone please make a screensaver support to paint.net? Thanks
pyrochild
What exactly do you mean by "support"? Do you mean as in a screensaver that is able to display pictures created in PdN? If that's the case, then you can just save the images as PNG, JPG, BMP, or GIF format and it should work in any pictures screensaver out there... Myrddin
...or do you mean support for a screensaver file, much like a JPG is to a picture? Quote How to Save Your Images under Different File Types My dA Gallery
Rick Brewster
Your request doesn't really make sense, from my side of the fence. If you want a screen saver that does a slideshow, then you should go search for one (I'm sure you'll find at least 50! Windows even has one built in, if I remember right). From my side of the fench, your request is akin to going to a bank and asking them to support BMW's. "Well, what do you mean by that?" they would ask. Are you asking them to buy a big parking lot and start selling cars? Are you asking for better financing options that you can take to the existing BMW dealership? Do you want a credit card with a BMW logo on it? Are the parking spots outside too small for your BMW X5*? The request simply isn't specific enough I'm afraid. * The BMW X5 is an SUV, http://www.bmwusa.com/vehicles/x5/30si/default Quote The Paint.NET Blog: https://blog.getpaint.net/ Donations are always appreciated! https://www.getpaint.net/donate.html

Rick Brewster
Yeah yeah, well can you blame me? They're awesome. Anyway Tekdino, if you can give us a more specific description of what you're looking for, then we can go from there. Tekdino
Sorry for not being specific enough. I downloaded one plugin (from here) where you can make animated cursors by first making the animation frames with paint.net frames. I need (if possible) a way to make animations with the same frame system and then export it as independent screensaver (windows screensaver file). So in a nutshell: a way to make animated screensavers.
Rick Brewster
Yeah, Paint.NET isn't going to help you out on the entire process there. Screen savers are just special application files. You're better off searching BetaNews or Tucows for some program that does stuff like that. Tekdino
Ok, thanks. What about avi support? It would be cool to be able to edit avi files in paint.net.
Rick Brewster
Nope, sorry. Paint.NET is not an animation or video editor. pyrochild
Paint.NET is not a video editor. It is purely for graphics. Keep it simple right? You can always use other programs such as Windows Movie Maker or whatever it's called, or other programs (Google is your best friend). There's no reason to add this functionality to Paint.NET. What you're asking is like asking a guitar manufacturer to include a mixer board, a CD burner, and a drink tray to your guitar. There are other tools to do what you want, annd adding these would just create unnecessary bloat. edit: oops. rick beat me. that's what i get for being long-winded Quote ambigram signature by Kemaru [i write plugins and stuff] If you like a post, upvote it! Rick Brewster
Hmm. I think you're on to something with the drink tray feature idea. Starts madly writing code ...... 8) Quote The Paint.NET Blog: https://blog.getpaint.net/ Donations are always appreciated! https://www.getpaint.net/donate.html

You just push this little button on this rectangle thing and it slides right out! I'm not sure why it has a volume control knob and says "DVD+RW" on it though...
