SilverIce
Removed link to image: It is against deviantArt's ToS to directly link to images. Please post a link to the image's deviation page instead. i want to know the basics of creating a picture like this (I'm obviously new to this genre of art), and i'd really like to know the basic steps. THANK YOU SO MUCH WHOEVER ANSWERS THIS!! SilverIce
I'm very much intersted in starting from scratch, by the way. but i'd also love to learn how to do it with a photograph. usedHONDA
The background is a piece of wallpaper (looks too flat to be a Photoshop). And the fireflies can be recreated with the radial gradient [ ]. BoltBait
SilverIce, you could get that person's art taken down by direct linking to it. It is against dA policy to direct link art. SilverIce
*looks terribly embarassed* i had no idea about that DA rule.... so, do i scan a picture i've drawn or is there some way to draw the picture from scratch? and i'm a little confused with the fireflies, a gradient? how can that work? barkbark00
Set you primary color to white, set your secondary colors transparent white. Then you just draw radial gradients...
